You can get traffic, most of it is not targeted...but then, it is 5 bucks, so what can you expect?

I do agree with you. It is only 5 bucks, you should really not to expect more.

The traffic comes from people browsing fiverr or
using the search function at fiverr.

That's why you must make sure to put all the appropriate
          tags in your gig listing.

So when people search for related services, yours shows up.

A number of gigs also show up on search engines...

          Best,
          Shane

???? Oh, you're talking about BUYING traffic on Fiverr. Don't bother. Use your 20 gigs to drive traffic instead. It's free.

If you're putting links in your gigs and not getting targeted traffic from Fiverr, re-evaluate your model. I get Fiverr traffic to the abovementioned jewelry site because I have a gig where you can pick a pair of earrings (for $5, an 80% discount) from a landing page on my site. It's very precise traffic: people who are interested in that brand of earrings.

Oh no no, I'm talking about there are specific $5 gigs where they say something like, "will drive 10K traffic to your site", etc... I'm wondering where these 10K people come from.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[4300567].message }}
    • They're usually not people. Sorry. Bot traffic.

They are either bots or in some cases they might be expired domain traffic... Either way it's not targeted and most likely not worth it... Unless you are just trying to get your traffic numbers up and you don't care whether or not you make a sale or get a lead.

      Best,
      Shane

Fiverr has only let me down in terms of SEO or backlinking. If you want bulk-traffic, you clearly don't understand the mechanics of buyer psychology or where that traffic is coming from. It's completely useless.

Well, I figured if say 10K hits came for $5, and even 1% of them converted to opt-ins, that's 100 opt-ins for $5. But, if they're bots, guess that wouldn't be helpful. Just thought they might be very targeted traffic, only a small percentage of which would be interested in the site.. in that case $5 for 10K untargeted traffic would still be a great deal.

    Hi

Fiverr has worked well for me in the terms of "quick-cash + future buyers" technique.

Find a gig thats hot, and replicate it. Why will it work? Well, if someone is offering 10 High PR backlinks and its hot, people will buy not his but yours if you offer 10.5 ... lol ... I hope you get what I mean.

Also, more reviews = more orders ... But most importantly, more orders = more subscribers.

It's true that these guys bought a "$5" service, but who knows, send them tips, be friendly, and the next thing you know is they just ordered your $500 SEO service.

    My 2 cents!

I have only 2 Gigs about self-help. I waited for 6 months before having a client. He loved my help and gave me positive feedback. I'm getting some traffic from this successful story. Now, I'm seriously thinking about adding more gigs to my account and paying attention to Fiverr because it gets a lot of traffic.

Instead of buying a traffic gig, buy a high pr backlink building gig. That will get your website up in google and get you natural targeted traffic.

Are you talking about buying traffic on fiverr or using the platform to drive traffic? I would look to dp for cheap traffic but I have seen people use fiverr to drive traffic to their site via a targeted gig. By adding their link in the description.

Edit: Although some traffic selling gigs are unique viewers, not all gigs offer real traffic. (bots etc)

I have paid to send ads and links to users that have 10's of thousands of twitter followers and facebook fans, etc. with no results... I have had much more luck with adwords, SEO and creating my own lists...
