I hope they fix the hole and bring the tool back. I used it to delist sites I have when I sell them to someone else for a different domain. I delist mine and voila ... no duplicate content.

Yeah, I read that this morning in one of my emails from someone. Totally crazy, and a pretty big whole for Google to miss. I wonder how many times it's been used so far, and if it's trackable so that it can be fixed!!!

Glad they got that glitch fixed...but it does make you wonder how many people figured this out and just never made a blog post about it.

    Good read...thanks for sharing.

Jeez I won't be able to delist my whole competition now .

Just kidding ehe, that sounds like some mega-huge flaw, glad it got spotted and fixed before some people could abuse it .. could have cause some big troubles in the IM world.

If the loophole existed, Google webmaster tools would surely have a record of any sites that you might have removed whilst logged in to your account.

It wouldn't look good on anyone who deleted other people's websites in the time before Google realised and closed the loophole, would it?
