I'd been using NVU for awhile, but then I had some problem with it on one of my computers (memory maybe? no idea now). So now I use HTML-Kit, which I just found on download.com.

I use good ole' fashioned Notepad to code my html and CSS..

I've got tons of templates that I've created over the years so I just modify one of those if i need to, then change the look within the CSS.

Simple and valid html/css.

EditPlus is my favoured html editor. FTP access, syntax highlighting and full control over my code

If I were to use a WYSIWIG editor I'd go with dreamweaver though.

Evil DreamWeavel ...

I went the adobe CS3 suite, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, blah, blah, blah...

For any kind of site I use MS Visual Studio and VS.PHP - but everything is hand coded in those IDE's. I find it's faster, less bloated and the coding is far more cleaner doig it that way.

Notepad and modify templates I have been collecting.

Not much I can't do by hand these days leaves a much cleaner footprint for the code.

I am an avid user of XSitPro. Although I know HTML, I rarely have enough time. XSitePro makes the job so much easier, and quicker. I can knock up a site in no time, so that it starts getting indexed by the search engines. When time permits I go back and tweak the look and feel of it.

I overkill every site that I make by either using wordpress or joomla. The design may look simplistic, but the power of those 2 cms's and the plugin's and extensions made available outweight any sort of simplistic dreamweaver/frontpage design i can throw up.

MS FrontPage here, older (2000) version to do the initial design, then edit manually via the built-in HTML editor as needed.

Or if I'm really in a hurry then I just find a site I like on the web and steal it.

Wordpress for most things, plus 1stpage if I need to dig about in the guts. Notepad occasionally for quick hacks.

I used to be a big fan of Frontpage because it is easy to use. But when I learned about Dreamweaver, I switched and there is no turning back. I love dreamweaver and as Arindan said “cannot live without it”. True enough. I can say, it made my life a lot easier J

That piece of software is perfect for newbies who dont know nothing about html.
I dont know jack about html or photoshop so I use a wysiwyg tool like xsitepro 2.
