Can't recall which one though.

I have not tested this but i don't see why this wouldn't work.

  Many times keywords that "turn out to be good" are not obvious. This does not make sense to you because you don't have the experience. Try it out, and it should answer your questions and you just might learn something.

Clever way for finding some fresh keywords whether it's for an Adwords campaign or chasing SEO.

A lot of affiliate marketers aren't experts in the industry they are trying to promote so don't know the lingo of the niche. Reverse engineering proven results is a great way getting a feel for how a person interested in the niche actually searches.

SEMRush is great for this (but a paid tool) or you can also visit sites that list their popular or recent search history.

After a bit of research using your method you should be able to better predict other keyword opportunities.

I heard about this method a few weeks ago from a well known marketer ( at least I think he is well known ) I believe a released a product around it as well.

I was planning on setting up a few adwords campaigns around this over the weekend to test it out.

I will report back with my findings.

Its a good idea, but adwords policy states that visitors must stay on your site to buy a product you are promoting i.e. if you have a affiliate link its a no no.

However a work around could be to use Microsoft Adcenter with the keywords instead of Adwords.

Yes, Sam, you can always have a landing page using landing page robot, which has been proven to be google friendly and then have your affiliate links there, no sweat.

quick question. what about direct linking then? i am trying to get back into adwords after leaving it for a while. I didn't realise they stopped allowing affiliate links

I work for a large online stationery company and I know we have affiliates who promote our site through adwords, how would that work with this policy in mind. I keep hearing that direct linking is a no no, and it sounds like affiliate links from a landing page is a no no, so basically affiliates can't use adwords? or am i miss undersrtanding something here.

What you can do is simply send traffic to your own wordpress blog, get an opt-in and then using your autoresponder, redirect them to your affiliate link. Google cannot control this and they won't penalize you for it. I'd use landingpagerobot plugin by trey smith because they have a ton of templates that Google likes.

Then once you have the opt-in, which any affiliate should be doing anyway, then you can send out emails, promoting all kinds of stuff, and giving away massive value simultaneously.

Careful... this isn't necesarily true. I had my first Adwords account nuked on me for promoting a squeeze page. The account was completely clean, no funny business going on.

Make sure that even the squeeze page itself is heavy with content, has a privacy policy, disclaimer info and a good T&C. And then keep your fingers crossed.

How about this one,

Driving around with your laptop looking for wifi and clicking on your own ads.

It's ghetto, but it works if you need fast cash in a pinch.

Finally, that mesothelioma site is gonna pay off!

I shouldn't have to remind anyone that this is against the adsense TOS.
