Yahoo Closing Site Explorer

Hey Guys,

Sorry if this has already been posted on here but I have just read on another forum that Yahoo is to close its site explorer sometime towards the end of this year.

I don't know about you guys but I will miss it. You can read the article by clicking here.

Regards,
Stephen

Don't miss it... The data was not accurate anyway. MajesticSEO.com is much much better but in reality you can't rely on any backlink data source for analyzing 100%

If they actually do this, I'll be really sad.

From the article that I linked to, it appears that yahoo are encouraging people to start using bing webmaster tools. Not quite sure how good it is, have to check it out.

I really wish Google would integrate something like this into their various tools already available. Not that YSE has ever been all that accurate, however, its the most reliable that's for sure.

My Rank Checker plug-in has gotten hung up as soon as it tries to hit Yahoo for ranking information and I'd wondered if it was the start of YSE going away or not. For anyone who has had similar issues, go into the plug-in and un-check the box to include Yahoo data in the output and Rank Checker will work again.

For me it was very reliable, I liked it. One more Yahoo product bites the dust. They hardly even try to compete with Google anymore.
