Hey fellas,

I have a few challenges/concerns about getting my CB hops up to my targets!

My main niche site is getting 30-40 signups per day, but most of these guys either buy in the first 3 autoresponder messages OR don't buy at all

This niche site attracts guys looking for solutions; once they have it they are unlikely to be interested anymore. Or maybe just a minority of them are.

So my sales funnel appears just consist of the guys that sign up and either buy or don't buy within the first 2 weeks.

That means not many guys, no matter how big my list is growing. Just the ones that read my messages right after signing up.

To niche marketers, in your experience:

- as your single niche list grows, does your hops count grow with it from that list or does your hop count stay more or less the time?

OR

- is it best just to leave this site on auto-pilot (more or less) and start another one which does the same, doubling my funnel in order to get to my target of 1000 hops per day?

I know I have to concentrate on either improving the traffic for this site, or start a new one to get to my goal.

Both will involve plenty of work, I just want to be sure that I'm doing the right thing.

Thanks chaps.

Sorry guys, reading this it doesn't seem clear at all.

What I meant to say was:

At what point does your list stop making you MORE money?

My main list is growing, but what I want to know is if will it keep increasing my income or will it top out, because most of the list either buy or don't buy in the first 2 weeks or so. I realise you can't answer easily because you don't know my niche.

However, I'd be interested to know at what point a niche and its list stop making money for anyone else.

    Any ideas much appreciated.

    Cheers

Yes ... I understand your question, but I'm not sure my own answer will help you.

My lists continue to make money for a long time.

I have lists from which I earn almost as much - from an "original product", not counting upsells - after 10 emails as I do up to 10 emails (I'm sending emails 5 days apart, mostly, after a little flurry closer together to start).

But this is going to vary with two things ...

      (i) The "urgency" of the niche (I suspect from your comments above that your niche is more urgent than most of mine, but I completely take your point about that, and don't doubt it for a moment. If people are about to have their house foreclosed in 2 weeks' time, you need to make your offer really fast, otherwise they'll take someone else's offer?);

(ii) The demographics of the traffic (the "type of people" you attract, and the reasons for that - again, mine are "less urgent" in the sense that I'm not particularly trying to offer people stuff they've never seen before - that would be unrealistic - I'm just trying to be the person from/through whom they'll buy it, having failed to buy it from/through others ... and I can "be me" either quickly or slowly, and get their custom either way. I slightly prefer slowly, myself, and so do many of them, it seems).

I think you are asking the wrong question...

A percentage of the list will never stop buying... if the person product is good they will buy from you again and again and that is precisely why a list is so precious. They are serial buyers, and it is what we as marketers should strive to gather.

Nobody is ever only interested in one thing. Yes, that one thing may get them onto the list but there are plenty of other associated items that will interest them too.

If you lose them after 3 messages, then there is obviously an issue with either the content of your messages or what you are promoting.

ps - Howdy Alexa - been a long time..

It all depends on your niche and product you are selling initially, let me illustrate this as an example:

Case1: You offer some product which is used to getting rid of foot-warts. The person will buy the product, but if you are trying to sell anything afterwards they will not buy it anymore since the problem for them has been solved. EDIT: they will also not buy any product if the problem hasnt been solved since you didnt provide a good product.

Case2: you offer some product to increase muscle gain. They will buy the product, and if a month from now you send a different product which does something similar or does it better than the first one shows up, the person is likely to purchase it.... The reason for that is that they are most likely still working out and are willing to try other products in the same category or niche.

Why don't you try adding a survey to your auto-responder for the 4th message (ie. once the sales stop happening) to find out what's going on.

You might be able to find out if they've solved the problem and probe for other aspects of their lives they need help with... and then send them different offers or to a new sales funnel.

    Interesting problem to have!

Thanks guys, it's great knowing how it works for you.

From what you say, I can absolutely sell to these guys way further down the line.

Yes they have urgent problems that need solving yesterday, but not like foot warts or tinnitus, and would be interested in different, related products further down the line.

Yesterday was a pretty slack day and I was starting to draw conclusions that I have a small sales funnel

However, with some creativity, I can link some related offers to them.

Example: this guy I know with a list of 20k young aspiring music producers and DJs recently sent them an affiliate link on how to pick up girls. He knows that most of his list are young men, some of them quite geeky! I'll bet he got some good sales out of it.

      We can all do that.

Thanks a lot for your feedback.
