What eBook Do You Wish Someone Else Would Write?

Hi Warriors!

I'm always saying to myself, "someone oughta write a how to guide about that."

Today, for instance, I feel like I got bent over a barrel at two car repair shops - my Honda dealer AND Goodyear. I'm a woman. I don't know cars.

They KNOW I don't know cars.

I get screwed. I KNOW I get screwed.

When I bought my car, I bought a step by step guide about not paying more than $100 over invoice (real dealer invoice, not sticker crap). Failed on dealer #1 - he literally laughed at me. Worked on dealer #2.

Today, I wish I'd had a "how to not get screwed with car repairs" guide for women. Like it or not, there are stereotypes. When I was a waitress long ago, I knew men tipped well while women, in general, didn't. I'm sure they see me walk in and see dollar signs knowing they can get away with telling me my brake pads are metal when they should have been ceramic - because it flies right over my head!

What how to guide have YOU ever wished someone else would write?

Thank you I thought so. I was going to say somethign a little more risque and crude but thought that would be more appropiate.

Here is another one. 101 Ways to make your boss stop asking you the same question over and over after only 5 minutes. Or a quick guide to teaching a non technical person technology even they could understand.

A Mom's guide to <insert sport here>. I wasn't an athlete and don't know the rules for different sports so each time my kids played a new sport I had to try to learn all the rules & scoring.

Last month I wanted to show a client how to use Wordpress - so I searched high and low for some beginner Wordpress tutorials (videos) and couldn't find any - so I made some

Ditto about cars. Would love to see an ebook with home repair tips for women. So if my faucet leaks, I know how to fix it. My eyes glaze over when asked to do anything beyond hanging a picture on my wall

if the book is for women , you oculd add a litle tagline saying (and for men thatneed things explained in easy-to-understand terms)

I'd name it "for blondies" -- in the "for dummies" angle

(if you take offense, sorry in advance, blah blah blah)

I majored in Organizational Communication, so I read a good deal about the importance of diversity in general. While there are countless books and manuals on an academic level, I still think there should be some hands on guides and eBooks to help people who are struggling with diversity issues in the workplace.

Along the lines diversity and what Tom said, ageism is a huge issue on a personal and corporate level too. The generation gap is a big deal in the workplace, as we now have three generations working together.
