WP List Building and Affiliate Selling

I am looking for some advice on how to set up the user interaction to get users to signup for a mailing list and purchase products. I have posts on a WordPress site with keywords in the post. From there I am a bit fuzzy. Do I want to link the keywords to a Mailing List squeeze page? Do I link the keywords to an affiliate sales page? Do I not link keywords and instead post links at the bottom of the post link "signup here"? Which is the proper method for list building and affiliate sales?

I also want to be able to track what number of users click the squeeze page and from where, and what number signup through AWeber/GetResponse/etc from a specific link on my site. What plugin would allow me to accomplish this? Should I be using Pretty Links Lite, or is there another method to redirect users to a squeeze/affiliate sales page?

Sorry for the million questions, but any advice in this area would be much appreciated.

It all depends on what your site/blog is about. For opt-ins, I would have an opt-in form in the sidebar and possibly even an exit pop up. You'll need to split test these. You can also have an opt-in form under each post. There is a plugin for that, not sure what its called.

As far as links within the post, these could be used to link to affiliate offers. You'll probably do better by having a targeted post about a product, could be a review and have links to the product in the post. If you're going to talk about solving a problem, you can link to the products as a solution to the problem.

Not sure if this is what you were looking for but without looking at the site, I'm having a stab in the dark.

    Good luck
