(attention, my english maybe not perfect)

Hi all,
Next week I'll put my product on clickbank (you can see it in my sign) ...and I'm a little confused on some topics (this is the first product!):

1)The Price and the percentage for affiliates.

Considering that is my first product and the possibility to propose it to superaffiliates and company (obviously with more high percentage),
What is according you the best price (I thinked 47 US dollars) and the best percentage for affiliates?

2)Optin form (Some affilates don't like it) and I must decide to put it or not on my sales page...

I really appreciate your suggestions... and whatever you think is better in any case..

Thanks in advance

Roberto

75% to be competitive. If you have an upsell you can afford to give a more generous commission on a 47 dollar price. Thats just my opinion as an affiliate.

You should set the price according to how valuable you think your information is. I would pay $97 for a 10 page report if it was packed with good info. I would not pay $17 for a 300 page tome full of crap.

As for commissions, the bare minimum would be 50% for an ebook type product. If you have upsells, there's nothing wrong with a 50% commission because your upsell would provide more money making opportunities for your affiliates. If not, consider upping it to around 75%.

As for an opt-in form on your salespage, I don't see why affiliates would have a problem with that.

    Good luck with your launch!

      Thanks Curtis,

I'm agree with you on the valuable of my information...
I have tested the product in Italy, (in Italy the market is still unripe and my objective is the world market), selling approximately 50 copies to further verify the validity of the product and the test went very well indeed...
but I think the price depend on more factors...

      it's hard to decide:p

Well when I promote a product I usually look for 60-75% commissions, but it really depends.

Why does everyone automatically say give 75%..? I suggest you go to cbengine.com and do some research for competing products. Check to see what they offer as a percentage and their price point.

As for the squeeze page I would put that on a seperate page and drive traffic to it. Keep your sales page open and clear for affiliates to promote. However, that being said I would definitely put an exit popup on the sales page that will drive non-buyers to your squeeze page.

If your squeeze page offer is good then you will definitely salvage some sales. Make sure you have a series of emails ready to go and loaded in your autoresponder. I would recommend about 25 to 40 messages ready to go, delivered every 2 days with awesome information.

PS. You may want someone with english as their first language to polish your sales page. There are a few gramatical errors and it may convert better with that small stuff taken care of. I understand that english is not your first language and you did a good job considering that but a little polish will increase credibility a whole bunch...

Thanks Mike, I've seen that on many sales pages, this maybe a good choice...

You can recommend a price and clickbank will consider it.
As far as the opt in goes, try it and see if it hurts you, if it does remove it or forget it all together and make sure you have links in your product that lead people to a page where you can collect their info. Also maybe consider adding a popup that goes off when they try to leave your sales page, with an offer for a really cool freebie if they opt in.

Test both the opt in and no opt in. You will never really know until you test.

Just like the previous post...Add a exit pop up with a special report about your niche when they try to leave your page. Test this as well.

And if you don't have a back end product to promote. Find one. This is an awesome time to add more revenue to your business with a customer has just purchased what you created and are ready to get started with your product. Take advantage of this selling opportunity.

Speaking on behalf of affiliates. If a product has an opt-in form, I'm looking for another product.

What happens if I want to use my own landing page with my own opt-in form and then when the potential customer gets to the main sales page he/she is "hit" up again?

I think, at least, you may use your own landing page with your opt-in form with a rebrandable ebook (I've already it) and a little follow up sequences
