Custom Wordpress Features -- Which Ones Would You Want in a Theme?

I've been thinking about getting a custom made wordpress theme, however, I am lacking some of the creative ideas to which cool features I would want to have within the wordpress platform.

If you where to create a custom wordpress theme, which features would you want in your custom wordpress theme?

    This is probably more plugin territory.

    Ability to Open/Close comments
    Ability to Hide Pages from the Main Page
    Add "Nofollow" to a link in any location
    Editable Footer(some encode theirs and it's annoying as hell)
    A simpler way to edit the CSS pages(s)

    Sometimes I need 2 columns but most of the time I use 3.

    I'm more of a Joomla user but have been migrating some client requests to Wordpress. In Joomla it's so much easier to add in modules to, in fact at a time I had an entire theme made out of solely modules...

    So in WP, I would prefer to have a theme where I can easily add widgets via shortcode to a theme...say for example widget1, I can insert {mywidget_1} into any part of the theme i.e. left pane or right pane and have the widget there automatically.

    Not sure if there are any wp codex for this, but I would definitely love to have a widget ready WP theme that allows me to add widgets easily.
