Hey everyone.

I've been here for a few days now.

Read as much as I possibly can here,

Posted some stupid @ss questions,

Read some more, and posted more stupid @ss questions.

I have a million and one ideas and my head is about to explode.

Does anyone know where I can go, Start from the ground up, Study, Study and study some more.

Somewhere that can empty my head of all the BS it has soaked up caused by me diving in at the deep end?

WITHOUT trying to be sold some quick rich scheme?

Its not what i'm looking for all I want is to be able to grow organically, and become successful because i deserved it.

Sorry for the rant.

Please Discuss.

It's okay. My head hurts sometimes too. But, it's a temporary thing. You just slather it in butter, wrap it in cheesecloth and stick it in the basement for a few months. After that, you can enjoy some good head cheese.

You can put it on crackers or bread. Top it with pastrami. It's not too good on pizza, but, if that's your thing, hey, go for it.

The key is to give things time to ferment. That's what stops the pain and produces results.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

It's very common for IMers to feel that way. That's because there are so many ways to make money and you can come up with ideas after ideas. Nothing wrong with that. When I come up with an idea, I usually write it down and visit it after a few days, by which time, I've come up with a better one

The goal however is to stick with one idea till you made it a success. Once you've done that get onto the next one and don't let your ideas list divert your focus from what you're working on.

    Good luck

When I first started I literally studied for a week. I prefer watching videos over reading so youtube videos really came in handy. I filled up a notebook with helpful things and then just started putting it all to work.

It helps to focus on only a couple things at a time. Don't try to do it all or absorb it all.

Things are constantly changing in this online marketing world. I started by simply creating a 2-page website, placing some adsense and affiliate products on there. I then made youtube videos which drove traffic to my site.

Kept it real simple until I felt comfortable to try other methods.

We are all still learning, but you are definitely in the right place! I wish I'd found this forum when I first started out.

  • I just need to find somewhere to start reading, honest material. no sales pages etc.

I'd like to learn, but need a slap in the face by a experianced IM'er and tell me a path to choose. I want to look back on this and say i really did do this from the ground up and feel good about it all.

That wouldn't even qualify as a rant on some forums.

If you want to go the virtuous organic approach you might need to avoid certain discussions, luckily dark hat discussions are verboten here.

Going the slow but steady way is going to require you to add original quality content multiple times a week, and realistically, unless you have exceptional content like say the Huffington Post you will has to prime the pump by getting some backlinks that may be counter to big G's guidelines.

Good luck, show us your fortitude.

Mate the best advice i can give you is to pick one thing and stick with it.

By the sounds of things you are caught up in chasing too many rabbits (opportunities), and we all know what happened to the last guy that tried that (he didn't catch anything).

There are plenty of routes to take to make it but the best one to start off is the one that resonates best with your abilities and level of comfort.

    Here's some examples:

    - Affiliate Marketing: Ideal for people who don't want to create, manage or sustain their own products

    - Service Provider: Ideal for someone who has skills related in some form or other to Internet Marketing

    - Product Creation: Someone who has had experience or can find someone with experience and then turn it into a product

The main thing is that you master or at the very least complete one method before moving into the next.

One word of caution i will give though is that there are many products sold on here all the time taking advantage of the latest trend. I have no doubt these can make you money but they are the biggest distractions around because they come heavy, frequently and with big 'make money instantly' promises - so try to avoid them if you can.

At the end of the day though it's all about knowing your fundamentals:

    - Driving Traffic
    - Increasing Conversions
    - Finding problems (with commercial value)
    - Providing a worthwhile solution (either yourself or by pointing to it)
    - Looking after your tribe (prospects, customers etc.)
    - Doing it with ethics (or not, that's your call)

    Good luck mate

Everyone goes through this, so it's not just you.

Pick one item to focus on and put on the blinders and not look at anything else and pick one traffic source to drive traffic to your site and do this for at least 30 days until you master the traffic source then move on to another method.

Then repeat the process over again for the next 30 days.

I recommend Jeff Wellman, Paul Counts, and Eric Holmlund for beginners. Search for Eric's tips. This is a whole course that will take you from square 1 all the way to advanced ways of driving traffic to your site. Jeff Wellman is a great teacher and specializes in helping beginners. Paul Counts can also show you the ropes and knows his stuff. I have been helped greatly by these three gentlemen.

It's common thing for newbie internet marker. The reason is there are too many opportunities.

    The solution is simple....

Try few methods, and choose one method what? it's possible to earn enough money due your wastage. Stick into it and go ahead...... When you getting fix with the method (perhaps, it'll take 6-7 months), jump into another method.

Yes that is common. But first you need to be calm within before you can effectively think things through. Stop...feel the breeze..smell some flowers and then come back refreshed. Focus on a certain matter one at a time and don't rush yourself...

Draw up and write down 3 options on where to go.
Think about them for 3 days and then decide which way you want to go.
Draw up action plan for what you want to achieve in the first week and write it down
Write down your objectives plan for the next 24 hours.
The following day just do it! And draw up your action plan for the next day.
Think about what you want to do in week 2
At the end of week 1 rinse and repeat

I once felt the same way too...

But I have learnt to take it one at a time. The more I try to do a lot a time, the more I get confused.

    So whats the solution?

Know what you definitely want and commit yourself to it immediately.

This allows you to have a clear sense of direction and automatically cools down your

    "hurting" head.
