Need advice about my newly created forum..

Hello warriors,

My name is Jackielyn and I've been doing Internet Marketing for less than a year now. I have 3 sites and one of them is about making money through surveys and other get paid to opportunities. I have installed a forum on my site discussing about working at home. Now, I would like to know how am I going to get traffic to that forum or get people to sign up? Any advice?

I would very much appreciate any advice. Thanks.

P.S Anyone who wants to look at my site and review it are welcome. I would appreciate any feedback or changes that I should do to my forum, positive or negative feedback are all welcome Thank you all in advance.

Jackielyn Thanks for sharing your forum information. There are many ways you can use to get sign ups for your forums. The most important way is participating in similar forums as you are doing here.Sign up with more related forums and place your link in signature and post regularly.

Target some keywords for your forum and build backlinks for them until you get the first page.

I have looked at your forum.I is too new and I think you should post some initial threads there to start for the new members.

Thank you Shuvo. Yeah, I've actually just finished installing the forum, so it's like one day old. I will surely consider your advice, thanks once again.

I would first of all create a thread in instruction forum.

The way I would start creating threads is by going to yahoo answers, warrior forum. Go check out what people are asking for on Yahoo and create threads around those questions. I do that and that content is really be powerful.

Forums are tricky. You need to have a following. A list of believers. Eventually you could introduce a forum. Just to throw a forum up without that loyal following is difficult. I'd concentrate on building the following and when you get some larger numbers like 4-5000 followers, open the forum.

In the mean time give away your best stuff and treat your list right.

For your forum to do well, you'll need a lot more activity on there and that comes with people who follow you. As SiteSmarty mentions, it might be easier for you to launch the forum if you can build a list of followers. Create a free report and and start attracting subscribers.

In the mean time start posting on the thread and building backlinks through articles, forum postings in other forums in your niche, blogging and even better guest blogging for some popular blogs, video marketing followed by press release.

It might sound like a lot of work, but a lot of it can be outsourced.

    Good luck!

You can find people to post good threads in your forum. Like what was mentioned above. A forum is as good as its community. And a community grows out of content. So you can start with the content and try inviting people in...
