google.co.uk serps going mental?
I was at the top of page two for a keyword relating to my niche(a local keyword which generates places results).
As the site and places page is fairly new the organic and places results are not yet linked. However, when my rankings started getting really good and when i started appearing on page one, for some of the terms the page that I was ranking for totally disappeared. A few days later I got another ranking, for the same site, same keyword but a different page and that's at the bottom of page two. This page has less relevant content, has less internal links and less external links. Any idea why this would rank better than a more relevant page?
Another thing worth mentioning is that my rankings are great on Google.com Google.ca and google.com.au, but really bad on google.co.uk.
My backlinks have came from both UK and overseas sources, my full local address is also on the website and I have just uploaded a geo-sitemap.
Any idea why this is happening? Anyone else noticed madness on the .co.uk serps?
