List Building - Past Customers

This is a bit of a long whinded question. I am new here on the WF but have been involved in IM for over 3 years. When I first started out in Internet Marketing I was drawn into a MLM program which I HATED and I started building a list. It was not HUGE but I had 100 or so people on it.
I eventually cancelled my Awebber account as my credit card expired and was paying out monthly for a service I never really used anymore as was not involved in MLM anymore.
I then got involved in flipping sites and have sold many sites through flippa and other sites.
I am kicking myself now after joining the WF that I didnt keep my account and get people to join my list when they brought sites from me.

Is there anyway I can get peoples details from paypal and add them to an autoresponder? Is that something anyone knows anything about? I´m not sure if you could do it from awebber.

I really appreciate any responses
Thanks in advance

Aweber's going to make those people confirm before they get added to your list. No way around that. Since it's not that many, I recommend sending them a straight email (not using a mass emailing system) and offer them something nice to sign up. Remind them that they bought from you before or were in the MLM with you so they don't just assume you spammed them. Make sure to tell them they have not been added to any list, but that you wanted to touch base and see if they'd be interested in your offer. Some of them will sign up.

You're not gonna have a problem if you send a friendly email one time to such a small number of people, especially if they all bought something from you before or know you from MLM days. It might technically be spam. Big deal. It's 100-150 people. You have some dealings with them in the past. Don't get too hung up on spam issues in this situation.

Thanks for your advice. I will give that a go and send them a friendly email.

      Thanks
Also what is the main difference between getresponse awebber and icontact?

You can use Outlook Express and a csv file to send to these people. Config it up to sync with your gmail account. I think gmail allows 200 emails a day to be sent , so they are fine with that.

The function you will use is 'mail merge' , this will change each persons email address and name so they feel like they are receiving a personal email from you, but yuo only have to send out once.
