Google Punishing Backlinks..

Quick question guys, Will google punish backlinks to a website that are coming from the same server?

Example, say I have 100 websites on one server and I decide to point some of them to one of my sites on that same server...

good or bad??

    You won't be 'punished' but the link juice won't be a great as if the backlinks were coming from somewhere else.
