If you had to raise money quickly...

Hi! I'm new here. I hope I don't sound too naive, but.... I am coming to you with a serious question.

If you could put yourself into my shoes for a moment - what would you do?

Here are my shoes: No list yet, no funds to start an adwords campaign.
And a desperate, burning NEED to raise at least $1,000 by the end of the month.

On the plus side:

I have an account with hostgator and a handful of blogs but they are not making money and aren't in any profitable niches.

I am a member of The Keyword Academy.

I am a new member of Simpleology.

Also, I bought Chronic Commissions a few days ago. Yes, the sales copy is BS, I knew that, but what really bugs me is that traffic has to be paid for and I can't afford it right now. (Once I get over that hurdle, I am planning on using it. I think it can be good to build me list. That's why I am holding on to it for now.)

I am reasonably good at article writing, so, in other words, it doesn't put me off if that's what it takes.

If you were in my situation, how do you think you would go about making money quickly, even if it would take superior effort that couldn't be maintained for more than a couple of weeks at most. (I have no idea what I am talking about, just throwing out ideas, trying to jog people's noodles.)

Thanks for any suggestions you guys might have.

Rosie

My way would be offline selling. If Offline selling doesn't put you off, reply and I'll outline what I believe to be a surefire way to make $1,000 in a month or so.

As I read the post - the question is how to make $1000 in about a week (by the end of the month).

      Do you mean THIS month?

Well, I have just recently started doing a small gig on fiverr that has me doing keyword and domain research for niche sites. In just about two weeks I have received 5 orders. Not millions but maybe enough to fund another small venture or buy some traffic.

    9 days for $1,000?

In all serious I'd go walk dogs in a nice neighborhood. $20 an hour 5 dogs a day early morning or late evening so the dog doesn't over heat (there are heat advisories in effect here from 8:00am- 8:00pm every day until tuesday). The owner doesn't need to get up God awful early or swet to death. The dog gets exercise and doesn't risk heat exposure. A good friend is a vet and he tells me he sees about a dozen dogs die of it every summer here from owners walking them when it is too hot.

Yes it's only $900... but seriously 9 days.

KayKing, yeah, the end of this month, I am hanging my head in shame.

Cool ideas, all of them, but $20 an hour to walk a dog? I'm in Florida - no way they would pay that much here. Maybe in Manhattan, lol.

Fiverr is interesting. I just went there yesterday for the first time to check it out. Someone suggested it to get an ecover done there. But maybe I could do this kind of thing myself on Gimp.

It's an idea to make some cash on the side, but it won't solve my current problem though. But thanks, guys!

        Rosie,
I understand your situation, been there before. A very quick way to earn that much of money would be offering offline service. Help a few shop owners with creating a nice website. If you get 3 of them to agree, you can easily charge $350 per head, so that it will bring you $1050. It is very easy nowadays to create a website, you can either learn from YouTube or purchase a nice template, alter a little and sell it to them. This will work, if you really have the desire.

No need to do that - we've all been there at one time or another. Problem is, the internet isn't a money machine UNTIL you have a business up and running on it.

Fiverr? You get $4 or less per gig - now if you had something you could do that took less than 10 minutes start to finish, you might earn some money....IF you could get enough orders. See the problem there?

Warriors for hire is great - but without any previous posts or rep here I don't know how well it would do. $5 articles might sell there - but you'd have to write 20/day for 10 days....and you'd have to get that many orders, too.

I'm not putting you down - but you need a plan B. The chances of jumping in and earning $1k in 9 days is unlikely to work.

One of the BEST threads to read NOW - is this one

          http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...desperate.html

It's an old thread that's been added to a lot - and there are some great ideas for fast money in it.

I'm glad you're feeling better! Keep your chin up and "keep moving forward!"

I agree with axing fiverr for now. It takes far more time and effort than you have available to you right now. I would however use fiverr to outsource some things like traffic (don't expect miracles but I have always gotten at least my $5 worth), services to broker (graphic design, seo, etc.) Web page design.

Sort your results by rating first so that the gigs that have good feedback are easier to find. You can also message people to clarify what they will and won't do for $5.

          Good luck!

If I NEED to raise a grand by the end of this month I am going to my friends, my family for loans and ebaying/craiglisting/facebook hustling everything I don't need to survive. After that I'm going to my credit union for a possible loan, and then if I am desperate I am going to payday loan or pawn shops with what ever I have left of value. That's what I do if NEED a grand in 9 days.

But I also offer services as well so I would probably be all up and down the internet offering services as well, but I wouldn't count on the internet to deliver.

Between all of these options I would have a grand (probably more) in 9 days.

I'm in South Carolina. They pay that much. I know for a fact upscale neighborhoods pay that much to walk their dogs. They want the dogs walked, but don't want o do it themselves it's too hot, and they know they have to pay someone to do it at a really inconvenient time b/c of the heat advisories. I'm sure you're under them too if you're in Florida. If you aren't comfortable walk multiple dogs at ten an hour. Do you have a day job? It matters for any other reasonable suggestion if you have to plan around it. Also why do you need $1,000.00 in the next week and a half? Odds are good you won't get there, so you need to start thinking on what to do if you don't as well.

If you do fiverr you won't have cash in hand for a few weeks. The money (to my understanding) goes through fiverr then to you.

I have been in your shoes 100% (I was even a member of TKA <3 Mark & Court) what I did (and your mileage will vary!) Is first I offered article writing services. My starting fees were flat rate $1 per 100 words (so 300-399 words was $3). I was bombarded with orders from the TKA community, they really helped me a lot. The problem is that I can not stand article writing so I increased my fees and decreased my clients. The second thing I did quickly and successfully was to set up an affiliate offer with a product that paid instant commissions via papal, this can be very risky because you will have to cover any refunds out of your papal so if you do this choose your product wisely and promote it wisely. The third thing was to arbitrage goods and services. I've found things on Craigslist for cheaper than they were on eBay and sold them for a profit and vice versa and I also found people who needed things like logo design done and charged them a reasonable fee then found someone else to actually create a great logo who I paid a lower rate and kept the difference. Making the money you are after is possible but it will take creativity, determination, lots of dedicated time, and commitment to follow through on whatever plan you come up with. In real estate its all about "location, location, location" well now its about "follow through, follow through, follow through"

Good luck!! I'm literally in the middle of moving (like I'm writing this on my thunderbolt in a hotel room) but I'd love to see an update on how you do and WHAT you do.

Oh and I almost forgot, get in to the war room!! 150000% worth every penny!

What ever you do, forget about FIVerr for now. They take for ever. Yeah, to put money in pay pal for me. Perhaps this is due to fraud prevention, I am not sure.

Well, I notice that illegals sell used items at the flea market for cash money. Booths are only $140 per month now. In fact, there are hundreds of booths where a K-mart used to be last year.

That is a great way to sell junk like old video tapes and records that you might not want anymore. It should take you only one week to make your $1000 and at the same time empty out your garage.

If you're good at article writing, you need to use that to your advantage. Offer your services on the WF, Elance, Odesk etc and get some gigs. You can even outsource the gigs you get and proof read articles to make sure your clients are getting quality. That'll be arbitraging and you'll need quite a few gigs to get the $1000, however, it can be done.

Chronic Commissions intro video is hilarious! Not something I have taken too seriously though, as I couldn't bring myself to buy the bs the in the script.

The WSO suggestion is probably your best bet, but you'd have to be pretty darn creative, and offer a huge over-delivery to compete with the masses.

If you can catch 100 sales at $9.97...it could happen in a day or two!

Giving you a few days to create something 100 people need, and put it all together.

I've been exploring some ideas for a WSO, the only thing stopping me is the concern for making the first one a winner, as it can make you or break you.

If I was you, I would pimp myself out. What I mean by that is think about what you're good at and offer your services to other people. If you can write well, try a site like Demand or Break Studios. If you are good at graphic design, offer your services in the Warrior BST section. You could also bid on jobs on freelance sites. Somebody mentioned Fiverr, but I would advise against selling your services there. People want $500 worth of work for $4. Don't ever sell yourself short. Good luck.

art72 -Chronic Commissions intro video is hilarious! Not something I have taken too seriously though, as I couldn't bring myself to buy the bs the in the script.
    Oooops!

It appears Chronic Commissions is now at #1 on Clickbank, and has generated $1.5 Million in sales in just 8 days according to CBengine[dot]com

Therefore, I felt it was only respectful to note people buy bs! -And the proof is in the numbers.

With that said, a creative mind knows no boundaries!

After a another warrior pointed out that Chronic Commission's $1.5 Million in sales after a % of refunds, 75% in affiliate commissions, $50k in creation expenses & prizes awarded, and CB fees....

I was still able to break it down to a $17,125 payday...everyday for 8 days! (Not too shabby!)

While, I am nowhere near this level myself, the purpose of this post was to let everyone know; it can and has been done. *That's all the proof I need!

Many of us hold the key to emulate these types of sales if we just take action, and apply what we've learned!

Being under the gun, trying to make money out of desperation to just survive is a mindset that can make you or break you. (Usually the latter in my experience)-as most conform to this belief a JOB = security!

There's no bigger line of bs than that my friend!

Instead, if we choose 1 thing that we can relate to, enjoy doing, are passionate about and 'see' it has worked for someone else...we can then make it our own (without plagiarizing them of course) and start assembling the pieces (knowledge) needed to "take action" and make it your reality.

The copywriter's and creator's of these products (like Chronic Commissions) are not stupid. Nor do I imagine their goals were unlike your need to earn $1000 bucks fast back when they started. The only difference between us and them; is they took action and acquired the tools and knowledge to make it their reality!

I just learned today the company I work for has been purchased, and by the end of August the new owner will be taking over. Sadly, there is much to-do about whether my co-workers and I will remain employed?

I've got 5-6 job offers pending. But, you know what; "I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER FRIGGING DEAD-END SALARY JOB LIMITING MY TIME!"

Honestly...I see this as a moment of truth, an aspiration; whereby I can easily find another JOB and remain Just Over Broke...or I can step up my IMing efforts, and get serious about my online business.

After realizing what a program like Chronic Commissions can do, and with 1000's of products pulling down huge numbers like those shown above...I don't see myself working for someone else much longer.

One thing that has become evidently clear...my job is getting in the way of my time, income, and ultimately my dreams!

-It's up to me and only me to take action, and change course.

    A few things I am working on;

    -Writing an eBook/WSO
-Designing a review platform for top selling affiliate products
-Assembling all the plr, master resale rights, and resell products I acquired cheap (over 6,000 products) for a membership/training site
-Building niche blogs, content, links, articles, traffic, and exposure
-Looking into site flipping, and domain sales...(studying now)
-Applying SEO techniques which is paying off, finally!
    -Building my targeted list(s)
-Establishing a plan, a schedule, and sticking to it!

While at first, it doesn't appear to be paying very well...I know by taking action, staying devoted to applying what I have and continue to learn everyday (here especially), I am weening myself from the titty of sophisticated slavery and that which my current JOB has me bound to...and getting back to what matters...writing my own paychecks!

I've made less than $100 this month online, my initial investment has yet to pay for itself financially, YET every penny I've spent is worth millions in knowledge if I put it to use!

Now it's time to get creative, do the work, and apply the techniques so openly discussed in this forum, and several others.

If I needed a thousand dollars fast, I'd sell my truck, (hell it's a gas guzzling pig anyway), and honestly I'd rather drive a new MacBook Pro from my couch to make money...over that of commuting to work to a job I hate...

Honestly, if I lose this job come August, I may just sell everything I have, and go all out online. I am confident I'd be better for it... facing the fear of the unknown, and forcing an action has always been a risk I had to take being self-employed prior, and one I will do again, if and when necessary, becuase I fell for the bs belief; having a regular job = security...nothing has ever pained me more!

Hope all is well. I have been in your situation many of times so don't feel bad but instead feel the must for doing something different. I have been selling on ebay for over 10 years as a living(I didn't say full time I said as a living) and so I tend to point people in the direction or going out to the largest flea market you can find that sells used items and find things to sell by looking them up on your phone with an internet connection before purchasing to insure a good profit is made.
I will be releasing my first book about it the end of this week but if you need money now, you need to take action now. Try and find vintage electronic items first as the are fairly common and have good profit in them. I believe in about 2 days of focused work you can have enough to make what you need although it won't materialize for about 5 days.
Focus now on putting some work in for next month as well. Hope this can help you.

I'd definitely have to agree with the warriors who suggested offline marketing. For that much money in such a short period of time...if you hustle and bustle the local businesses in your area for services from web design to social media, you'll be sure to pick up at least 3 clients at $300-350. :]

On a side note, I had a neighbor who helped their kids set-up a lemonade stand on the corner a few months back...they hustled and pulled in $2300 in one weekend. Talk about the power of kids...

I don't know how to make a thousand a month online, then again, yes I do. If you want to make ten bucks an hour, you may be able to do it by joining the contextual back links program at Factoidz. They pay me five bucks for a two hundred word article on HubPages, and you can make up to twenty for a really good quality link. Ten days, ten hours a day, a thousand bucks.
