Warrior Video Experts:

If you made some nice Camtasia Videos and wanted to add a nice intro and ending (to all of your camtasia videos), is it easy to add these ready made .mp4 video intro and ending to the just made Camtasia Video?

If so...how is this done?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Much success,

Chris Negro

I usually use Sony Vegas video editor but it costs a few bucks. But I'll share a secret resource with you that not too many know about yet. JAYCUT.com
It does just about the same thing FOR FREE!
Drag your camtasia to the time line, add other videos, images, text overs, audio.
    You'll love it.

Late note: apparently they in in some sort of transition right now. Check back though it was great.

      Vincenzo:

The intro and ending mp4 files (15 sec videos each) are already done. So are you saying its as easy as adding these files into the video editer between the raw camtasia video file? Please forgive me ...I'm not a video editor at all. Just didn't want to assume this could be done when I lead the person I outsource this job to. Many thanks in advance Vincenzo !

      Success,

    Chris,

If you're asking is it easy to add premade video clips as intro or outros the answer is yes.

The one thing you need to remember about adding clips to a Camtasia time line (project) is that all the clips need to be of the same format. In other words, if you want to bookend MP4 clips to the original video, the original will need to be in MP4 as well. You can't mix MP4s and AVIs, as an example.

If you're starting with a .camrec, render it as an uncompressed MP4 and then import it into a new project and then add the other MP4 clips if the MP4s don't work with the native .camrec video.

      Bill:

Perfect...it appears you recommend importing the bookend mp4 files with the camrec file and see if it works. Otherwise, save the camrec file as uncompressed mp4 file and then add the 2 other bookend mp4 files into a new timeline.

      Thanks Mate,

        Chris,

        That's the idea.

Just drag the intro clip in front of the original and see if it works.

If it doesn't, just convert the original and you're good to go.

I have camtasia also, but use Sony Vegas also. Here is the best freeware program that will also let you combine many types of video. It's called Video Spin. It is put out by Pinacle software that also publishes Pinacle Studio which is one of the high end programs for movie production. Download it here Free video editing software download lets you edit and upload your movies for free - VideoSpin - Create your own movie clips in minutes!

    Hope this helps;

Hey Chris - yes it's very simple.

You can use Camtasia, you can use Windows Movie Maker, iMovie or any of the popular video editing programs - there are lots.

It's as simple as dropping them into the timeline in a format that the tool supports.

There are also plenty of tools to converting video from one format into another also.

Anyone knows where we can make great intro videos? Or how to create them?

Using Camstudio or Camtasia you can create videos effortlessly.

If you also want to edit those videos, you can either use Camtasia's
built in editor or you can use a 3rd party editor such as Sony Vegas,
Jay Cut, Windows Movie Maker, etc.
