What would you do with a 2 word keyword phrase with only 3 (yes only three) other SERP competitors?

OK, let's just say that you found a 2 word keyword phrase that gets plenty of results for each individual term, but together only gets 3 (yes, only three) SE results... a pure goldmine of a keyword phrase!!!

What would you do to monetize? Would you try to dominate every other variation including misspellings? or would you stick to the initial correct spelling and go from there?

Thanks in advance for your insight.

I would quickly set up a Wordpress blog that targets that 2 word keyphrase. This should give you a good idea as to the real traffic and if people buy.

I say real traffic because the traffic numbers given by many keyword tools may not be correct if it's not a normal/correct keyphrase.

Just spend a few mins creating a good article targeting the keyphrase, then see what happens. Better that then spending a lot of time on the separate keywords and not seeing much success.

    Hope that helps,

How many searches daily/ monthly for the "2 word keyword phrase"?

Is it a "buying" term -- are the searchers at a late stage in the buying cycle?

It sounds like a gold mine, IF there are plenty of searches for that specific term. If you're just combining two competitive keywords, I don't know how that would work out. There may be no market at all.

Why not run some PPC and see if you get clicks?

    Cheers

    Results 1 - 10 of about 396,000 for X1

    Results 1 - 10 of about 798,000,000 for X2

    Results 1 - 10 of about 61,800 for X1 X2

    Results 1 - 3 of 3 for "X1+X2"

X means the different keywords... does that clear it up a bit without revealing my keywords?

What would you do with this keyword goldmine???

How many searches does it get each day/month?. Even knowing this wouldn't provide you much though...

There is really not much we can tell you aside from put a page in front of any traffic to see how it converts.

      Jay,

I know it's an open ended question, but for this example, let's just say that each seprate keyword gets PLENTY on average: (hundreds of thousands) of searches each month individually...

but nobody has capitalized on the two keywords togehter YET...

what would you do if you found a hidden gem like this???
