Hey all,

Just recently I got my paypal account limited for good, they kept asking me to verify my details every other day by limiting the account, so this time I got fed up and gave up.

I'm just thinking of moving to alert pay.

My question is that will this effect any of my sales? because many people are with paypal and not a lot are with alert pay I think, the other problem is my solo ads, I was selling on thru paypal so will it effect that also?

Thanks
Kashi

Lots of bad reviews about Swreg, so be careful while using it.

I'd also heard bad things about that too (Swreg) and would recommend as others have, AlertPay.

There are many alternatives to paypal but it would depend on what you need, paypal is the easiest try phoning them and talking to their support about your issues.

I used Alertpay for a while and found I didn't get anywhere near as many sales. Most people do use Paypal and like to purchase using Paypal.

I now use 2checkout because customers can still pay by Paypal but it isn't through your own Paypal account so you don't need to worry about Paypal at all, yet your customers still have the option to pay with it.

This is the best advise! You can kill two birds with one stone.

Some people only pay with paypal so if there is no means to pay through paypal, you will be loosing pay.

My country is not paypal compliant and its a real pain.

      So go along with this.

By the way, there is also worldpay.com

To me thats the important thing. All these recommendations for payment processors are fine and all, but if sales volume is depressed for using them, where's the gain?

Yes you can use Clickbank if it's just the one product you are promoting. I would recommend 2checkout though if you have more than one product.

So PayPal limited your account and asked you to verify your information, which from what you said turns out that you didn't every time they asked, and you are surprised that PayPal closed down your account?

I personally used PayPal for the past 2 years, having $2-3k/month coming in my account, with no problems at all. When they asked to verify, I submitted the documents and all went smoothly from that point on.

for your info, there were too many disputes on my account, thats why they kept asking for verification, I don't know about you but, I DID verify everything.

What's the functional differences/advantages between Paypal and a merchant account? Or quite simply, what are the pros and cons of each? Obviously, I'm new to this.

You can use a merchant account too. If you don't like PayPal, a merchant
account would probably be the best route. Also, there are things like AlertPay,
    Webmoney, etc.

I say toughen it out with paypal. If your handling payments from customers. I would use paypal, alot more customers will pull the trigger.

Merchant accounts work very well also. Paypal + merchant account is the best option. Since adding a direct credit card payment option on my site I have noticed a lot of customers wanting to use it as sometimes it is easier for them or they just don't like Paypal.

What I would suggest is that you resolve the issues that are causing the disputes. No matter whom you use, disputes are going to cause you problems unless you resolve them.

I guess AlertPay is one of the best Alternatives, however, I do think it will affect your sales.

The best solution is to enable moneybooker too as many people are using both alertpay and moneybooker instead of paypal and wish for the best

Just a heads up, I'll never order anything if they use Plimus.

I refuse to give all my contact information to only pay with Paypal. Super annoying.

You'd be better off grabbing a merchant account. Sure there are tons of
people out there that can use them, but there is also tons of people that
cannot. One of the most common ways is using your Credit Card.
