I posted this in another place but I am new to Warrior so forgive me.

I'm helping a friend in the UK and was wondering about link building.

I'm assuming to get quality linking for a UK based company I need UK linking?

If that is true is there a service that finds pr4 and above forums in the UK?

And when it comes to blog posting do I need to look for blogs with co.uk...or how does that work...

Social bookmarking, is that also a co.uk thing I need to focus on.

I hand submit every link so I want to be focusing on the right stuff...

thanks for any help

    Hi there!

The only advice I can give is that you may want to do an advanced search with your favourite search engine service that limits your results to a geographical area, in your case, the UK. (And mine, usually, as I live in London...) This way you get a result listing of severs hosting the web pages that are located within the UK, not relying on a domain type. The United Kingdom has .com, .org, .tv, .ac, and many others, just like any country, so searching for .co.uk may severely limit your findings.

Also, depending on your approach, attempt to weed down your findings again with an other search that specifies keywords and then related keywords. I would also take the time to have a dig through some of the prime sites you find to follow links and track down branch sites that are applicable to your marketing, but not necessarily easily found in searches. Things like Meet Up Group forums and Yahoo.co.uk forums and even Freecycle type groups have forums that range over many subjects and it can be surprisingly productive to post in such areas.

I hope that helps and answers the question in part. Sorry I cannot help more or if I missed the point of your query.

    Good luck!

Market Samuri, a popular research & SEO tool might help locate ranked blogs. You will earn search engine anking for links from sites outside of UK, links from relevant sites are more important than unrelated fields.

If the businesss has a physical presence, be sure they have a fully developed google Places page, it's much easier to rank a Places page in a local search.

No you don't need, you can build links anywhere you want. Link is a link.

About finding PR4 sites in UK...yes...it can be true...but i'm 100% sure it's a ripoff and they will ask tons of money.

Again, backlinks is a backlink and it really doesn't matter if its from India, Australia, USA or even UK.

King: Thank you so much...I was not thinking that all places have .com and .org and so forth...I will test it the way you said. I can actually search keywords on Google UK and get all my rankings,,,but that helps me

WEb: ok so i can do some linking from sites outside of the UK but keep them relevant to the company...so i can just find blogs, forums, and other sites that talk about the same stuff...

but how does that help their ranking in Google UK?
