Using article directories for content

Just say if I want to setup a niche site quick and get merchant products on there asap, but I need to get approved by merchants from networks such as CJ, I'll need to convince them my site isn't a trashy spam site.

Do you think adding a few articles from directories from Ezine or goarticles to my site for content, and presenting them well with some images, would be appropriate enough to get me accepted?

    I haven't done it, myself, but I certainly know people who've been accepted for CJ merchants and for CPA networks in that way.
