What Do You Think of Weebly Pro?

Anyone used Weebly Pro?

I know it's restrictive in designs and layout and also you have to share your Adsense revenue, but I've found it quite easy to use and learn a bit of SEO with. Put a reasonable looking site together in a couple of hours.

Is it just for newbies and should I move over to Wordpress and Dreamweaver?

As always, your valuable advice is appreciated.

    Yes indeed - I'm a happy customer.

I like it; I think they're an underrated host.

The built-in site-builder is ideal for incompetent technophobes like me (at least, if not "ideal", it's far more suitable than Wordpress, for me).

Really? Even with the paid upgrade? I didn't know this (and it surprises me). You're sure?

But I've never used AdSense and have no plans to, so it might just have passed me by completely as not being relevant.

Personally, I have no intention of touching Dreamweaver or anything like it, or equivalent to it, either now or in future.

Wordpress is a different matter. Personally I use TypePad instead (and HostGator hosting, too, for other, non-TypePad, non-Weebly sites), but I completely understand the reasons why so many internet marketers want to use Wordpress.

I certainly won't be "leaving Weebly" any time soon, though.

Come to think of it, I may be wrong on the adsense sharing thing with Weebly Pro. It may only apply to the free accounts and not those paying for Pro version - not sure but will check it out.

Their support has been quite good. I once asked them how I would go about setting up a php redirect and they replied within 24 hours (I'm UK based) providing me with a script. However, it was a java redirect which they said could get snagged by pop-up blockers.

On the whole, they seem quite good and as I've learnt so much from a certain lady's posts and she uses them, then I'm sold!

      Thanks

Re the Adsense, this is only shared 50/50 with their free accounts. There is nothing in their terms and conditions - its just something they do which is a little bit unfair I think. You just drop the Adsense widget into the editor and the code is automatically set up to split the earnings 50/50. If you then upgrade to pro, you need to get a special code from Weebly so that you get to keep all your Adsense earnings. OR just use your own code generated from your Adsense account and pop it into the Weebly editor and you automatically get to keep all your earnings. I know all this as I have been chatting back and forth with Weebly for the past few days. No1 is taking a cut of my Adsense earnings!! :p
