I finally got a website up in the first page of a 40,000 searched keyword in about a week. Now I'm preparing to monetize it with some amazon items. only problem is Any amazon plugins for wordpress require an Amazon Web services account to use. So I signed up for it, and I'm approved, but it said "Pay as yo go". Well what am I paying for? I'm trying to be an affiliate for their company not pay for anything.

So if anyone can please tell me what it is, It would be a great help, and inform me if I'm going to be billed for using this ID Tag in the plugin?

Amazon Web Services is just that, a set of services for storing and managing data on Amazon servers. Although the Amazon plugins your referring to may require your AWS keys, usually this is for progromatic access to the Amazon api and you do not have to actively use AWS just to be an Amazon affiliate. However, it's worth looking into as the storage is really cheap if you have low to moderate traffic (your billed on your usage).

If you are only using it for the ID tag you will not be billed.

Also, as a new Amazon Web Services user you are eligible for their free tier. So you can use some of their services (such as S3 storage) without incurring any charge, at least for a year.

You can learn a lot more about AWS from their site - Amazon Web Services
