Can I buy an ip address based on location?

Hi Mate,

You can do that...

What you need is 2 things.

1. A Windows based server
2. HideMyAss (VPN Pro)

All you have to do then, Is install "HideMyAss" onto
your windows server. And then login remotely by using
"Remote Desktop".

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the reason hostgator
has said that, is because they dont do windows based servers.

based on a country or location.

I would have thought the reason Hostgator said no is because it is misleading and they don't want to be a part of anything like that.

  Its no different to using a proxy when doing your
  keyword research.
  
  Some people need to be able to use a proxy from certain
  countries.
  
  Example: I have someone building me some software right
  now who is in Lithuania. For some reason, they cant access
  a website I need them to.
  
  So they need an IP address from a country allowed.
  
  Some use it for shady purposes, some use it for a greater benefit!

You can buy a low-end VPS and set up OpenVPN on it.

... Or you can buy a VPN from a site that sells them.

It's easier than what you guys are talking about. Just buy (well, rent per month) an IP address from a proxy server located in whatever country you ask for. I live in Canada but I wanted to watch Netflix USA because they have way more content. So now I have an IP that hooks up with a proxy server in Amherst, NY and whenever I surf with it on I appear as though I'm in the US.

All you need is the Address, port number, password and login. Then enter that data in your browser. You can get one IP Address for a lot less per month than a VPS or a VPN. This site explains more:

there are tools out there to mask your ip address..you can change your ip address to any country but some algorithm can catch this. talk to your isp about that.

I guess it all points out toward one solution and that is a personal VPN service..You want dedicated IP you will get one while having some complimentary shared IP's as well. I think HMA, StrongVPN and PureVPN offer you good options in this regard. These three are more like the leaders in the industry as of now..

I need to figure out how I can get my external IP to show up as a certain address. I do online services for local companies and the block that I was on from my DSL provider was working so good. I have moved locations and I'm on a different block now and not having the best luck with my work now. I'm willing to pay good money if someone knows of a solution.
