Tracking a link in craiglist

Hi All,

I have a site and am going to be using a FB page, Craigslist and google SEO to drive traffic to the site. Is there a way i can track how many clicks come specifically from Craigslist visitors to my ads clicking on my website address?

thanks

    I use HyperTracker: HyperTracker.com - ad tracker

It's not free but it does a good job of tracking the number of clicks. It also tracks conversions as well.

There might be free alternatives out there but I've used this for 5 years and it works for me.

I understand that Google Analytics will do this. I read a report yesterday, which, funnily enough, cited tracking his website visitors arriving from Craigslist.

I think any good stats tracker like Stat Counter, for instance will do that. Just install it on your landing page, and you'll be able to see specifically where your traffic came form.

Someone suggested pixelsite.info but this got my CL post blocked for some reason?

I tried this but it does not seem to be showing any hits, or at least I am in my GA account and don't see any hits? Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Does this work for anyone currently?

Any analytics or traffic stats app for your site should show you this, as it only involves checking the 'referer' in the http reqest (which is usually logged in your webserver logs already).

oh, and keep this in mind - using CL to drive traffic to your site can put your account at risk, so tread lightly.

any sort of traffic counter is against the CL tos - they do not allow it. You'll probably have to "roll your own" in order to fly under the radar.

    craigslistadtracker might do it.

Also try getclicky, their analytics tell you.
