I Really Saw This on a Sales Video Just Now

I'm still shaking my head. I sat through a sales video, you know the kind where it's just someone narrating a Powerpoint Presentation. The guy ACTUALLY said "this is not one of those magic push-button automated systems guaranteed to make you lots of money." Then he went on to explain how his system automatically made him lots of money on auto-pilot while he did little-to-no work at all because his software did all the work for him! Then he said he was going to do what nobody else would do, explain exactly how the system works. Then his explanation was (I'm not making this up) "you join my site and use my software, which will automatically make you tons of money per month."

GAAHH!!!!

Do people really fall for this stuff?

Sorry. Rant over now.

Stuff like this sullies the name of good, quality IM products. But of course, it is what people want...money for no work.

The sad fact is that people really do fall for these kind of tactics. Luckily for most stand-up businesses that population is rapidly shrinking with more and more information being pumped into consumers radar. Unfortunately a second sad fact is that a majority of these fly-by-night business prey on just that population which means that another method will have to be devised to make sales or keep the business running.

It's basically the cops vs robbers mentality. Once more information can be provided to consumers, businesses will simply find a more advanced way to take advantage. Its really up to how you carry on with your own business and how well you keep your base informed.

All part of the formula. People want to feel like they're savvy. They also don't want to do any work. Give the people what they want.

It's a shame because it's true. The unfortunate part is that none of these products actually deliver in the least.

What people really want is SUCCESS. What you purport to give them is likely nothing more than a POS that you pass off as "what they want"

These idiots could build a 10x bigger business if they actually had a good product. It's called a BRAND, and one of the things that happens when you have a brand, is namely, repeat sales. Which in turn, is what a REAL business has.

A lot of idiots churning and burning customers in all niches. The day you stop hustling and doing the daily dirty work is the day it all comes crashing down.

Oh man, I feel your pain. I recently sat through an hour+ sales video! It was insane. He probably repeated everything 5x. But they keep making promises so you keep watching, then the final promise is never really delivered.

Good marketing? I think not, even if it works. What would you rather be, an honest and helpful leader in your niche or some manipulating and pressuring sales person?

people need to realize that at some point they need to stop chasing and start doing...
