Source of all traffic

Found this simple traffic generation diagram that I made a while back.

I printed it off and glance at it from time to time when deciding the strategy for a new site.

Find it easier to glance a diagram then read through a list at times.

Feel free to mention all the methods that are missing!

Magic Submitter or SENUKE ( plus a number of others ) are software that handle most of those.

What are some of the other options and what do they cost? Which work the best. I have used some article submitters in the past and they are worthless.

we use fiverr sometimes to get the ball rolling so to speak.

Only costs $5 to blast your articles to 10 directories, and they normally do a good job!

But the question you gotta ask, is your article high quality and will it make people go to your site and subscribe or buy? if you can answer YES to those, then go for it.

Fiverr is quite powerful in the right hands.

I've got a headache just looking at it ... Stop the world, I wanna get off!!

No wonder newbies freak-out when they see stuff like that ... Even though it IS on the button.

How about taking it one step at a time

Time management :p. Na I don't employ everyone of these strategies for every single site. I will select 1 at a time based on the niche and the site and work that. And then onto the next etc

I do multiple projects at the same time, but one traffic method at a time.

No, you must use every single traffic generation strategy listed above for every project

When starting out, I found I used to get a headache, thinking about which traffic methods were available or looking through pages and pages of an ebook everytime a new project started. But with the diagram I had an overview.

Then once you have done a few projects you know what strategies you are going to use without looking at the diagram. Its just a reference..

I would add submitting articles to mainstream media, giving
presentations in your local area, doing radio interviews,
especially the ones that are achieved and stored online.

Some of these will produce lower numbers but they send
you traffic that's presold on you and ready to buy.

I think it's generally a better idea to focus on a few strategies instead of trying to do everything at once.

Back in JUNE we have about 95% of all our business outsourced. It feels great, and Yes I still have to work, but not as much as I use to.

We use alot of these strategies you have in your mind map above, but not all of them. The real benefit for us is that we tested them all small scale to see which one worked the best. Infact three of them work really well and consistently bring in sales. So we now outsource them and test others.

So What I am saying is that you need to print this out and test them all small scale and see what works for you. When you find something that makes you money upscale that and outsoruce it. That way the money coming in is more than the money going out.

    Simple as that. :-)

While this might all contribute to you traffic, right now Social Networking Sites are those that drive about 40-45% of your site's traffic and then followed by SEO about 15%.

Thus it may be good to just focus your efforts on the most effective ones.

    Nice diagram...

I use all these on a regular basis but for newbies starting out i suggest picking one and focusing on it until you master it...

Then move on to the next one

    Cheers,
