Telemarketing Business Database

I'm looking to find a good list of US Businesses complete with business name, address, phone, fax, and if possible url/email. Does anyone know of any source for an inexpensive list to give to my telemarketer?

We've scraped yellow pages for some already but that data seems questionable, with many poor records or ppc ads embedded into it. I don't mind paying for the right list so I'm not trying to just go cheap.

Any thoughts?

If you Google "business databases" as a starting search you'll quickly find a lot of sources. You can branch out from there using other keywords if you don't get any good recommodations here.

    Bill- thanks
I've searched and found many online but they are uber-expensive. I thought perhaps people here might know a certain source for this (CD, library, etc) at low cost. I'm also not so sure about the legitimacy of some of those companies that came up in the search results...

The last time I bought a list (and it was quite a few years ago) I paid $6,000 for 4,000 leads. It had a good return on the investment, though.

What you want to keep in mind is your ROI. If the cost of the list will exceed any profit realized you may be better off using other avenues. It's really no different than any other advertising expense where you spend X amount to get Y back.

The quality of the list is important, as well. Cutting your costs in half to get an even smaller fraction of good leads is counter productive.

      Best of luck.
