Don't know what to do ...

Hey guys,
I'm completely lost ... It seems to me I can't find a niche that I can be passionate about ...
A little about me:
Recent graduate with computer degree.
Hobbies:
Computers (Duh!)
Video games
Cars

So far, I've been making money from fiverr and adsense ...
I'd really like to get into affiliate marketing BUT can't seem to pick a niche that really attracts me ... I was thinking about video games niche, to be exact the games that are coming out in 2012.
I guess my main problem I don't want to have that feeling when you work at a fast food restaurant and you got to go to work in 5 min., you know? That "F*ck ... I hate this" feeling, I want to enjoy IM.
Any advice?

Why not stick to Adsense if you are making decent money with it

I don't think that IM is about what you like.
It's more about what people/visitors like to buy (what they are already buying). If you don't have it on offer, they will not visit your site, or move on without buying after their visit.
Unless you happen to like something that others also like and are willing to pay for.

You say you like computers, video games, cars.
You could also keep those likes out of IM for now.

And start making some cash with the boring stuff (that you may not like) but other people do like/want/need/must buy.
Once you have a healthy steady stream of income, you could outsource this "boring" work, and start IM work with the stuff that you do like. Meanwhile keep looking to expand the boring side which you outsourced.
Even if the stuff that you do like doesn't make you any money, the outsourced boring subjects will.

I remember that my last year of Interior Design study was a practical year (As an intern) at 3 separate companies.
I love my modern design furniture.
And I always hated it when companies/people asked for a dark brown, Yeehah, old charriot wheel, cowboy style.

But all 3 architects of those companies told me basically the same thing in different ways : "With the earnings made of the dark brown, Yeehah, old charriot wheel, cowboy style, we keep the company in profit. You should do the same (at least initially) after your graduation, to eat, and buy your modern design furniture for your own home.".

    Wise words.

There is lots of information here about Adsense and making money with it.
Clickbump and CTR Theme ( NOT CTR Themes ) are good products, which I am looking into myself. Both claim to make you whip out Adsense sites quickly, increase CTR, and to have built in on-page SEO optimization. And lots more.
I believe that both owners hang around warriorforum.

It will not come overnight, treat it like a business.
I gave up on Adsense 2 years ago. I didn't even know what backlinks and SILO sites were. I just didn't get it back then.
The past 4 months I started reading up on Adsense and Chitika again, and taking action. Lots has changed for the better. Now I'm making money from Adsense sites, but it is not a live changer yet.

To get an idea, just look at other Adsense sites which are already making good steady net profits from Adsense alone (not from affiliate products) and do so with organic traffic.

Well the only site that I make money with adsense is Rogue Valley

I haven't tried CTR theme yet, I'll see if I can start a blog about something and use the theme.

Are you saying that you don't want to get into IM if you have to work at it? If that is what you were just saying, all I can respond is "yeah, good luck with that."

Hmm... you like cars and video games?

Why don't you start a website up reviewing race car games for the various different platforms. With mobile apps you'll be busy, I promise you that lol.

How to make money? You could try adsense, but you'd make far more cash from affiliate marketing or CPA offers.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

The reality is that unless you are making a site about something you enjoy or your site is already making money, then you're going to have days where you hate backlinking or writing content etc.

The only way around that is to take the pain until your business is making enough to start outsourcing the parts you hate doing.

Since video games is a big niche online. You can start looking around for offers to promote within that niche.

Check out Affiliate Marketing - Find the Best Affiliate Program and CPA Offers from OfferVault or Offers202 for some gaming offers.

When you find something decent. Start thinking of ways to get eyeballs on them. You can create a forum around the niche ( long term), you can make blogs with cheats and codes and then lock that content until the offer is completed, you can rank sites on google, run traffic through youtube to your offers, etc.

You mentioned that your hobbies are Computers, Video games and cars, why not start from that since these will interests you. If you are working in a field that really is not your interests, it's a challenging part in your case since you will have to learn and understand the basics of the new field you are into. Start from your hobbies by making a site on it and just give it a try. You probably have lots of articles to write about your hobbies since those hobbies you mentioned really interest you.

There's some clickbank products out for world of warcraft which I know converted quite well. There's probably Halo equivalents and other games since I last looked at this niche. Worth a look if what you want to do is write about gaming.

I think the question you should be asking yourself is:

What sort of passionate activity in specialized niches covered by your hobbies can't you find yourself doing?

•Writing and developing content about these niches which others interested in your hobbies could find useful in solving related problems and satisfying relevant needs they can't solve nor satisfy on their own?

•Connecting with other bloggers, webmasters, product developers, social community members or forum members to build mutually beneficial partnerships and reach wider target audiences to do the things mentioned above?

•Building and taking care of a mailing list consisting of people interested in your hobbies?

•Again: Helping those people solve relevant problems and satisfy related needs they can't solve nor satisfy on their own by pointing the best solutions in the market, sharing your test results and actual experience in using those solutions and offering advice, info, tips, techniques and strategies so they can gain more benefits from those solutions?

If you want to do something you're passionate about, get in the gaming niche.

ESPECIALLY if its Massive Multiplayer Online games like WoW, Rift, etc.

Think of all of the money flowing into those games- its incredible.

People are always looking for the fastest way to level, how to dominate in PvP matches, etc.

Let's turn it around. Instead of trying to find a passion, let's find out what are you good at.

What comes naturally and easy to you?
What do you do that others rave about?
What kind of work have you done that you enjoyed and you quickly mastered?

With the cars and gaming niches, find out what people need. Visit forums and look on twitter or facebook or wherever to find something that people are looking for. Then fill that need.

You don't have to make money with something you are passionate about - you may find another niche that you arent that interested in but has a desperate need and once you start promoting and the money starts rolling in then you might find you are more passionate about it then you ever though.

Also, the nuts and bolts of getting traffic and keeping up a website is BORING and TEDIOUS. I dont care how passionate you are about the subject. So, unless you have a lot of money for outsourcing, you might consider picking a niche that is going to pay well so as to keep yourself motivated.

    Just my 2 cents

The difference is interest and passion.

It is good advice to go after a niche that you have passion in.

I don't think you will find the "fast food restaurant" feeling when you work on your own terms.

There is a passion that comes with that.

True, Finding a niche that you enjoy makes IM a lot easier, but the actual business it's self is

    where joy also comes from.

Go ahead and start researching some nicehs, I'm sure you will find some that will spark interest.

The business will bring the "passion"

Every business has its ups and downs but, for me, running my own IM business online beats everything I have done before. It's the business itself that's exciting, not the niche topic. And nobody holds a gun to your head to start work or do so much work per day. You can go as fast or as slow as you like but, be warned, when the bug hits you - and it will - you will wonder where all the hours in the day have gone!

I suggest that you go for the 2012 games niche since it sounds as if you could make that super interesting for gaming people.
