Domain Selection Question

Hey warriors

Quick question, I have been focusing on keyword research and have noticed something in the process. I'm fairly new and I have been coming across websites with the domain bestfootballreviews for example that are often in the top ten. Now lets say I found a keyword that has a EMD, for example bestsoccerball. Would i want to choose bestsoccerball or go with bestsoccerballreviews instead because it has both best and reviews in the domain? Or is this not a big deal and content, on page SEO, and backlinks are more important. Thanks

Laces out!

In my opinion bestsoccerball would be a better choice. As far as the SEO value, the keyword just needs to be in the domain (unless I missed something). In both choices the keyword is in the domain, so for other reasons I'd choose the shorter one. This is because domains are usually more valuable when they're shorter- so if you need to sell your site down the road you may be able to get more $ for it.

I have a keyword in mind that has bestblank with 590 exact searches and blankreviews with 590 exact searches. Do i choose one of the two or go with the bestblankreviews. all opinions wanted

This is my own opinion . . . I would go with the "bestblank" as that domain is shorter and not limited to "reviews." What if you decide to sell the product or become an authority site on the product?

With "reviews" you're pretty much limited to doing one thing.

If you can't decide, buy them both (domain names are $7.50), put them both up and see which one gets more traffic.
