Thoughts needed is one of these domains better then the other in your opinion

example

www.xxxxzetaclear.com
www.zetaclearxxxx.com

what i am asking is it important to have your domain start with your main keyword

    I think you might have a very tiny edge if the keyword is first, but the benefit would be so tiny that it's not worth worry about.

    Yes, definitely.

    For SEO purposes, it's much better to have the additional letters/words after the main keyword than before. This issue's pretty much black and white, I believe.

    I hope Gene Pimentel (who is - for good and valid reasons - very widely regarded as the expert here on domain-names) won't mind my commenting, second-hand, that this is his opinion, too, and he's actually the person from whom I originally learned this valuable lesson (subsequently very well confirmed elsewhere).

    I think you should look into a better domain name without all the extra Xs. It is not just the engines you want to please - but customers as well.

    I'd agree with phanio, it's kind of an ugly domain choice.

    Given those two options, I'd go with the latter though.

    However, thanks to our best friend the WHOIS function, I've found out something interesting about zetaclear.com: Their domain is expiring in a month.

    Which means you could attempt to negotiate getting the better domain off its current owner. Then again, if that would work, perhaps you're better off getting an entirely different niche.

    If the guy with the product name site isn't getting enough money to keep him around, I'd be wary of buying in now.

    The horrible, pun area of my brain likes the last one and it might be better for SEO. Good luck, either way though.

    the xxxx where to be replaced with words like you showed

    I have no interest in zetaclear...this was just an example as well

    But interesting info you found. Maybe they will pay for there domain just before it expires???

    Well, the keyword choice holds more weight than it's location. Obviously, buyzetaclear.com would be a better choice than purchasezetaclear.
    Then, it just comes down to which is easer to read/has more exact searches.
    buyzetaclear.com > zetaclearbuy.com

    Alexa is correct. Your main keyword should be first, if it can make sense that way. Adding an extra "fill word" at the end is preferred.

    Yes it is very important to have your domain name start with the keyword that you are trying to rank for. all of these factors tell google what your site is about.

    1. Your keyword is in the domain name
    2. Your keyword is in the page name
    3. Your keyword is in the title tags for that page
    4. Your keyword is in the header tags
    5. Your keyword is in the body of text
    6. Your pictures and videos are properly tagged with your keyword phrases
