Hi all, My name is Scott. I've posted a little bit now, but I'm fairly new to the forum. I dabbled a bit with PPC affiliate marketing a couple years ago and made a lot of sales, but always was only able to break even, profit a little, or lose a little. I made the mistake of trying to get things going for me full time while I wasn't even working at the same time, so I eventually went bankrupt and vowed to never do IM ever again. However, for whatever reason, the passion has come back to me. I just now want to do things the right way. I want to do something free or cheap to start and then invest profits back into the business. I also obviously want to be working a real job until I get my business making the money I desire with a lot saved in the bank first as well. So, anyways, just wondering what you do to make money online, so I can find a good place to start. I want to find something that interests me, and I've already found quickly that writing is not one of those things. I've been thinking about maybe learning more about auto-blogging for profits. Thanks. I look forward to getting to know you all. Scott |

There are many good ways to make money online, I think having a variety of different strategies/niches is important. For instance you could setup some adsense sites, become an affiliate for some products and do article writing for promotion, experiment with PPC when you become advanced enough, and even create your own product. The more avenues you have for making money the better in case if one fails. |

Right on, and the best place to start for most people is the affiliate model and preferably marketing products that have nothing to do with making money online. PPC, article marketing etc. there are many methods for generating visitors these days - take your pick. Hope This Helps!! TL |

Yea it is definitely easy to lose money with ppc if you don't know how to do it exactly right. I would read up on the forums for ppc tips if that is the route you would like to take. I personally do a lot of article marketing. It is free so if you find that some of your techniques have failed at least you have only lost a bit of time instead of money. |

The bulk of the money I've made online has been through being an affiliate. At first it was only mainstream affiliate networks but the past two years I've included adult affiliate offers. There is a lot of truth in "sex sells".

There's lots of ways to make money online but the biggest problem many people have is staying focus on one thing. It's better to make dollars on one project than to make pennies on many. If you're new I would suggest you stay away from ppc marketing. It can run you dry. There are many good tips and techniques here at WF. Stop the bleeding by keep on reading. |

However, it's quite hard to combine it with other strategies. Good luck! | |
