Bad conversions... - ladies and gentlemen, any suggestions?

Hey guys!

Check out this : mikegeary1 175 $0,00 0 175 1

This means I got 175 hops, but only 1 showing of the billing page. And this is me!

I had no sales on 175 hops... Awful!

Would you be kind enough to check out my website and leave me some suggestions? Best exercises to tone stomach - complete workout revealed !

Change the template first, its kind of blah. Looks matter I don't care what anybody says. Ive been a webmaster for 15 years and if the site design doesn't excite the brain, you're doomed.

    That's my opinion.

You should be rotating different weight loss offers as well to see which converts the best.

The blog format seems distracting. Its like you're trying to build trust with your bio in the sidebar, but then you have text like this:

"Absolutely ANYONE, no matter what age and sex can gain a toned stomach and have a sexier silhouette! Thanks to the exercises of the website."

... which doesn't do much to build that trust. The navigation seems confusing too. What do you want visitors to do?

175 clicks does not make for a test. Having said that the page does look POOR.

      Hello .... ?!?! :p

      You Have No Opt-in.

I mean it kindly and not aggressively, but I believe you will not make money in that niche, with that sort of product, without building a list.

It's what all your competitors are doing. You're putting yourself under a huge handicap by not doing so.

The visitors to your site are on your competitors' lists (don't imagine yours is the only site they've seen if they're using those search-terms).

You sell products like this by being/becoming the person from/through whom your potential customers are willing to buy, because you've established a trust-based relationship with them. Through email.

Very few people buy at their first visit to a site. So you need to keep them coming back to your site and/or to your hoplink - and you can do that by email, too.

Your site has several other problems, sure ... but there's no point in thinking about them until you're ready to build a list, because there's no point in attending to them until you're ready to build a list. You could get everything else right and still not make any sales, because you're not building a list. Sorry, but this is how it is, and there's no point in pretending otherwise.

Put it up at FiveSecondTest.com and see what raw traffic says about it.

    • Two problems:

      1. I can't tell what I'm supposed to do!

You have to lead people by the hand. What do you want me to DO on your site?

      2. You used the TwentyTen theme, didn't you?

Drop that puppy like a cheating spouse. Get a premium theme.

      3. (I lied.) That comment about the dropped iPad? That's spam. I get it all the time on my blogs.

People are still using this default theme for business? You definitely should change it.

You just need to learn how to customize it. It is more powerful and flexible than the majority of "premium" themes, where the only thing premium is the price and not the quality

Well, sure, if you want to spend your time learning to customize a theme. Aren't we supposed to be making money instead?

We are. But you are switching the topic*. The issue wasn't whether to customize or not - it was about to customize the 2011 or a "premium".

Both require a learning curve... and in most of the premium framework type themes, quite a steep one. So, go back and comment on that, not about moneymaking!

          • I use premium themes all the time and believe me, there's very little learning curve to get the things up and running. And once up and running, they do not look like any default freebie theme I've ever seen. Customizing them later on is (cough, cough) a separate issue.

If the issue is customizing an ugly theme like TwentyTen or going with a premium theme out of the box, I'm always going to recommend the latter for anyone who values their time. We're supposed to be making money, after all. :p

Besides changing the layout, take Alexa's advice.

Start building a list and market to them slowly.

Then for some reason, your site looks like it is still under construction.

There is a BIG problem with you bio. It's all about you.

Now, your bio has to be about your customer. What I mean is that, you have to portray yourself as what your customer will become shortly after they apply your advice.

Imagine this: an overweight girl, in her 30s who can't find a boyfriend she really likes, really depressed, and looking for a solution.

Then she comes across an attractive woman who has a "passion" and a "happy life". She will feel she has nothing in common with you!

On the other hand, if you say "Hi, just a few months ago I was really lonely and depressed. I really wanted to lose weight, and I felt so ashamed of myself, I hardly hard the courage to go out (let alone meet a cool guy).

Well, one of my friends suggested an easy course that would tone up my body. I thought she was crazy, but I gave it a try anyway. Lo and behold, I noticed significant changes in just a couple of weeks!

I became and addict and applied the techniques religiously. Fast forward till today, I can hardly believe it's me in those pictures..."

Then you add your before and after. Can you see the difference in her reaction?

If your market is women who are attractive, then you can try another angle like "Your friends will be so jealous of your toned stomach they will plot to murder you!"

The point is, get to know your market. Building a list, and getting constant feedback will take you a long way.
