Do you feel glued to warrior forum?

Hi folks! From last few days, I am feeling seriously glued to Warrior forum. I am even not doing the important works. My wife and mother are feeling ignored. I am doing nothing but just surfing, reading and replying to the threads I am subscribed to.

The more I read, the more I find the unknown things and tactics.

Is it normal? Your ideas?

One more thing, my English is terrible. I will be kind enough, if someone tell me my mistakes in this post.

Thanks
Regards

It's pretty normal, but it's not always a good things! it's better to limit it to an hour a day MAX and spend time either on implementing techniques or not thinking about making money! I was glued to the forums once for two weeks straight and you'll begin to realize how unproductive you've become!

I don't feel glued, exactly. I think it's more like Velcro.

I'm with tmoby. Pick an amount of time you can spend at most in a day and still complete everything you want done.

Remember: The most important part of learning new tactics is to try them out, note the results, tweak/optimize, and then try it again.

Alternatively, you can pick a max number of posts to make or some other easily trackable metric.

The key is having something tangible to remind you to do other important things. Personally, I'm gunning for 10 posts a day till I get around 150 posts. I combine that by alternating 45 minutes of working (and doing nothing else) with 15 minute breaks.

A good rule of thumb: For every hour you spend learning, you should spend two hours testing what you learned out in the real world.

I was addicted to WF a month ago, then came here less often as I did work based on what I'd learned.

When I implement everything I know I come back to try and learn something else.

Hmmm I used to be glued to every waking minute of every waking day. Not so much anymore. Instead of coming here to predominantly learn new things I come here to share my experiences, with the hope that someone will find it helpful.

Next time you are feeling glued to the screen... turn it off... get up and go do something else for awhile.

Of course. I deliberately turned on "Invisible Mode" primarily so that other users were unable to observe just how addicted I am.

Nah, not really. I actually don't spend all that much time on here, in total (on the forum, that is; I do spend far too much time on the computer, in general). The occasional, quick glance through at what's happening, and sometimes a quick post here and there.

It's mostly the threads I've already become involved in - updates to which trigger email notifications, of course - which suck most of my attention away and are responsible for my frequent reappearances. I simply can't walk away from a thread when subsequent respondents/participants follow up with grossly misplaced, often factually incorrect and sometimes even downright dangerous advice, so I end up getting suckered back in time and time again - sometimes in conjuction with other similarly inclined members - attempting to salvage the the value of the thread so that it wasn't all a complete waste of time.

If it weren't for this, I'd probably post about 70% less frequently than I do now.

Hah ... receiving constant notifications, invitations, comments and messages led me recently to deactivate my Facebook account for approximately the 43rd time. And on this occasion I'm absolutely determined not to go back, no matter how much people say "where did you disappear to man? You've gotta login and see this". :p
