Just Finalized my Squeeze Page - What do you think?

Hey Warriors, I'm pretty new to this whole thing, but I was wondering what a few of you thought about my newly designed squeeze page.

Here is the page URL -

www . - top - online - reviews . com / recession proof income

(without the spaces)

- For this is my first post, I cannot post links or images, thanks!

I'm not asking anyone for anything except for their opinion and I would just really like to see what a few of you experts, and up-and-comers thought about the layout and design of my page.

Do you think it will convert well as far as collecting opt-in subscribers? I'm just now venturing into affiliate marketing and IM, but I've read and studied for almost a year on this whole thing, and I think I'm ready for big-time, lol.

Anyways, please let me know what you guys and gals think and I can't wait to become an outstanding member of your community and begin posting on the regular.

Thanks again,

-Rassan

Ps. If I were to begin marketing in the form of acquiring solo-ads - what forum exactly on here would I want to be posting in? The JV-Joint Venture forum? I wasn't going to be setting up anything just yet, but I was just looking to get some knowledge for the very near future.

Thanks again!

    Welcome to the forum.

That won't help you, Rassan, because you can't reply to private messages yourself (only receive them) - you haven't made enough posts. Your best bet is just to spell it out something like "www . mysite . com" in non-clickable form, and let people take the spaces out for themselves, or whatever.

Hey, thanks for the PM buddy, but I can't reply until I hit 50 posts.

Has everyone been able to see the site? SpikeS had linked it for me above.

Thanks so much too guys for all of your praise and suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Hopefully things will start to take off here before long!

The animated arrow draws good attention to the email capture. The timer is a good addition to force urgency. An experienced marketer would know all the tricks but a newbie marketer would be interested. The headline has a few psychological triggers. I like the fact that you trap the reader to fill out his email in order to see the video. Marketers are using this technique more often and are getting higher capture rates. It give you a sense that you are going to miss out on something good if you don't see the video. Video squeeze pages tend to get better opted in rates.

The squeeze page design is great but it doesn't say much, except about getting secret software! Curious enough but I would want more info before opting in. Also I am not sure that you would gain any trust with visitors when you use words like "Today Only" and they came back a few days later and your offer was still available.
    Just my opinion anyway...

      Hi Rassan,

Your squeeze page is good but remember that the headline is the first thing a visitor is going to read.

I think you should increase the size and make the headline a little bit bigger.

      Overall it's really good!

    1. I had a look at the page on your main domain and see you are using a fake news/blog site to push your gear. Straight away that tells me what kind of a marketer you are.

    2. Has your software REALLY been seen on CNBC, NBC, ABC, and CNN? I highly doubt it but would love to be proven wrong. If it hasn't then you need to get rid of that graphic from your squeeze page right away.

    3. The countdown timer runs out but I can still get the offer? Hmm. Nice try buddy! Oh, and when I refresh the page the countdown timer starts again?! That's funny. Now I will believe EVERYTHING you say.

All in all I am not overly impressed with your site but that's just because I am not a fan of deceptive marketing. That page is the sort of thing the FTC would have a field day with.

Personally I wouldn't be drawing any attention to that page on a public forum - little too late now though.

You may get a higher conversion rate but you will also get a higher number of fake and useless email addresses. By forcing people to optin to see the video they don't yet know whether they want to be a part of what you are offering so they are more likely to enter random email addresses just to get to that video.

Will, it's like you took the words out of my mind. You hit EVERY single point I had an issue with when I visited the page.

I hope more people see your post. This is definitely the type of page that brings a bad name to IM. Hopefully, the more people that see your post, the less of these we get.

      Heck, you deserve ANOTHER: THANKS!

      To the OP
Listen to all the advice provided by WillR. I would start by getting the page OFF that domain. It is one of those scamming "news" sites that are poluting GNews. However, if it is YOUR domain, like Will, I already know the type of marketer you are

As for the design itself, it looks decent. Definitely needs to draw a bit more attention with the headline. Make it a different font/color. That needs to be the most eye catching thing on your squeeze page.

Lastly, I agree that you're not really saying anything on it. You'd need to create a bit more curiosity by listing some of the features or something.

I also have to say I'm not really a fan of these "secret software" pushers. It all screams scammer to me.

I just had another look at that fake blog site on your main domain and saw even more deception being used. You have a Facebook like button there with over 33k likes and I thought that seemed a little strange for a fake blog site. So I checked the html source code only to find you are using the Like button for a totally different url. How deceiving is that...

You really are the type of 'marketer' the FTC are trying to get rid of.

I suppose if this is the type of marketing you want to do, and if there is really money in this type of b.s. then it's okay for what it is.

Personally as soon as I see a page like this I feel someone is attempting to weasel me into something that they can't just sell in a normal way, and I head for zee hills. No offense intended - you asked for opinions so that's mine. I'm not at all a fan of this type of marketing and I find it hard to believe it works on anyone.

I was about to opt-in... and then I saw the countdown timer. On top of that, you say it's today only, which is CLEARLY not true. Also it seems you have a plethora of other problems, according to the other comments.

It's too bad, really, it's actually a good looking page. If only an honest marketer had control of it...

It's not too late. Take a turn and become an honest, reliable marketer. Looks like you could be successful.

Hey all - thanks again 1000's of times for all of the suggestions and comments, I really appreciate it.

As far as the parent URL - toponlinereviews.com - My site is actually hosted on a friend mine's hosting plan right now and I'll be changing the domain name this week.

And the CB product that it's linked to is going to change as well - that was just a placeholder. I'll be changing it to a newer higher converting CB product here soon as well.

And I very much so agree about the suggestions on the headers - and the "Today Only" at the top - I am most definitely going to change that. As I said in my first post; this is my first creation of getting a squeeze page together; and I know I overlooked some areas, but I'm all for going back and making things better all the way around.

I was also kicking around the idea of...when the timer expires it would either try to close the page...or maybe have a javascript pop over warning the user that they have 10 seconds to enter in their e-mail address before they are kicked off the page.

Also, I was thinking of changing the "Get Instant Access Now!" button to an "Add to Cart" button when the timer expires but since I don't have a Clickbank product myself and I really haven't given too much information about [said] product; I doubt that very many would just "add to cart" right away...I could be wrong though - could be worth it to test..

Anyways, thanks again all I highly appreciate it and any other suggestions, comments, questions or concerns are mighty appreciated.

I know that the "As Seen On" is kind of deceiving (aren't most marketing techniques? Have you seen television commercials lately?) and not exactly 100% with the FTC, but I've seen so many affiliates do it lately...but hey that as well may be worth changing.

Why do you feel this burning need to create such pressure for your visitors? I know the intent is to collect their email address, but threatening to kick the user off your page? Really? C'mon, man.

It's not "kind of deceiving," it's COMPLETELY deceiving. Unless any of those mediums has ACTUALLY featured the product/service then it's just a blatant LIE.

As for the, "I've seen so many affiliates do it lately..."

I've seen many CB product launchers come up with far fetched stories involving overnight success of prostitutes (sorry, "high end female escort service") BUMS, college dropouts, scary looking old guy who threatens successful IM'er... I could go on all day. I still don't have ANY intention of ever following in their footsteps.

If you're really trying to do this legitimately, don't look to follow such gimmicks and lies.

      Just my extra .02.

If you want to build a reputation with your list, presuming you will be building one, you really need to stick with good old fashioned honesty.
People don't like being rushed to sign up so I personally don't like the timer thing straight off, and the "As Seen On" is not kind of deceiving, it IS deceiving.

Unless you are looking to join the ranks of the "make a million with a few clicks overnight" software pushers, you should do it right from the start, you will make much more in the long term and I believe there are more people out there that want honesty than those that want instant riches without doing any work.

You have asked for suggestions, and if I may, I suggest you read through the replies again and start your squeeze page from scratch.

      Rassan,

I admire that you came back and posted a reply even after people, such as me, had pointed out parts of your design we found a little deceiving.

I understand it's your first squeeze page but you need to remember all we are trying to do is help you. If you take a look around at most of the marketers who are doing well you would probably find very few of them using any of those 'shady' techniques such as countdown timers, as seen on tv graphics, etc.

      They are not needed.

I think you should keep the design of the page, because it looks quite good and I think it would convert well, but get rid of all those nasty bits! If you want to try and improve your conversion rate then test things such as headlines, bullet points, etc... you don't need to add all those other things to have a successful squeeze page.

I have squeeze pages that convert well over 50% and they have none of that stuff on them... so it is possible.

I do like the design of the squeeze page. The only thing is the description above the video doesn't really jump out at me, for some reason. Perhaps it's overshadowed by your to headline with graphic.

As for the reason to opt-in, I agree with some others, it smells of BS to me and I wouldn't really be interested in opting in for it.

    But, nice design!

    Hi Rassan,

I think you are very new to marketing. I was also in the same position you are now 3 years back. I thought "playing tricks" to make others do something is the only way. I was totally wrong.

Promoting "make money online" products before you do the same is the worst thing you can do. I did it

"Permission marketing" is the only permanent way to success. I highly recommend you to read the book "Permission Marketing" by Seth Godin

    Amazon.com: Permission Marketing : Turning...Amazon.com: Permission Marketing : Turning...

Always keep a true intention to help others. Be honest. Learn and apply marketing principles. Money will follow.

If you feel that you are not good at any skill, spend sometime to learn it. Once you lean and practice it, you can teach others.

Now here is my suggestion apart from the things already discussed

1)Try Red color for your headline
    2) have a very compelling,curiosity generating headline
3)Keep your call to action ("Get Instant Access Now") above the fold. So visitors need not to scroll to see it
    4) Put a few benefits in bullet points below the headline

These are some of the general things that increases the conversion rate of squeeze pages.

    Hope it helps

To ad very little to what WillR and others have said...

All I wanted to do was see if the offer would really expire, I was hoping the page would do something cool as it went away, but no... I feel like I wasted 2 minutes of my life.

From a design standpoint... another thing that bugged the tears out of me, though the rest is pretty good... is that the opt-in sits a little lower than the video - feels awkwardly off balance to me. Also "enter your best email" seems like a weird thing to ask or say.

            Hi Rassan,
Welcome to WF! I'm new here my self!

I like the main design of your squeeze page, but there are a few changes you can make. Have you got some stats on the actual conversion (opt in rate?).

            1. I personally dislike videos that can't be clicked on, allthough it adds to that "I want to see it". I would add it on the top right though.

            2. Free Exclusive etc. is by far the biggest copy, but is not the main headline. I would draw the main headline bigger.

            3. I would not make any income claims. You can say that you make $$$, but saying "make $13,935" is a claim.

            4. I get the feeling of being curious about this software, but I would like to know more before I commit to signing up.

            5. The logos at the bottom a great, but they end up below the fold. (move them up)

            6. Move up the testimonial up and place it on the left side.

            Keep up the great work!

I guess the only change that was made is the opt in box was moved and the page that I'm linked to now is different . when someone is doing 75% of all the work my suggestions are being put on hold for now . I really do like the $$$ instead of a dollar amount so I will be pushing for that one . Thanks again for your help

First time out so I'm gonna get a little blood on me . Just trying to keep the casualties down to a minimum
