I have made a fanpage just now how do I promote it to get fans?

First you could ask all of your friends to like it to get a little bit of attraction going on, then you could send an invite to your list and have them like your fanpage for say maybe a Freebee of some sort.

Then you need to do some good ol' advertising. depending on your niche you could run some Facebook PPC and grab a little bit of viral traffic from it also.

Other than that...Include a link to your fanpage in your WarriorForum Signature link...

Go to other fan pages in your niche and comment on posts using the link to your fan page also like other pages as most will return the favour.The more exposure you get to your page the better.
Then as above link to your fan page using your sig file in other forums

Get more friends, invite them to your page and also make status updates.

I would go to Fiverr dot com and pay some one $5.00 to send 5000 friends over. That should get you going, but first start posting like mad so that you have some content.

For this kind of a thing viral traffic is usually awesome. Do something that stands out, think outside the box, that will get you tremendous amounts of traffic.
Also if its the one in your sig I would suggest to add a little bit more of an incentive for them to like your page.

There are dozens of sites like Fiverr, Webeserve, Microworkers, etc, and if you optimize your page for Google, by making back links and having lots of quality keyword content with the right percentage of keywords, you may find it's very easy to get on the first page of a popular search.

1... Find as many other fan pages related to your niche and "like" their pages. Now you will see their status updates on your live feed.

2... take 15 - 20 minutes each day to comment on their statuses, like their posts and interact with the other people on their post comments. I have a personal development fan page -- i know that anybody who is a fan of any other fan page related to personal development will like what my page is about --- so, i go onto another fan page in the niche related to mine and like every single comment that anybody makes on that page --- you don't have to be selective of which comments you like because at the end of the day it is a win win situation. you are alerting people to your presence and they obviously will be interested in what your page is about because you have found them on a similar niche.

If i find a post with just say 200 comments on a page that is related to mine, i "like" every single comment, this takes no more than 2 minutes and i am guaranteed to get at least 50% of them followers to my page. It works every time and i went from 18 followers/fans to 1100 fans in the space of a month or so from doing this technique alone.

Just spend 5 to 10 minutes doing this technique and your fans will grow for sure, it's what i do and it works like a charm. It may seem a bit sly, but it most definitely is not, you are doing nothing more than alerting people to a page that you think they will be interested in, it's a win win situation, give it a go.

To add to the already solid advice i'd recommend you join niche spcific groups and once you have established a presence with helpful information and participation ask the members of your group to LIKE your page.

The easiest way to get things going is this.

1. Go to fiverr.com and pay to get like (300-500)
2. Now that you have over 25 likes change your url
3. Ask your own friends/family to like your page because the fiverr fans you just got are normally not good fans. The purpose of the fiverr fans is to show creditability to your fan page. Not too many people want to join a fan page with no fans.
4. Every type of media, advertisement, email, ask people to follow you.

The specifics of two sources

I briefly tried promoting a little Facebook app I had made, just wanted to reach the FB "for real" threshold of 30 or so fans, it was a sort of expensive category with click prices starting to look more line Adwords. Bottom line, with close to 1/2 of the clicks installing & Liking the app, they cost near $2 a like, hardly cost effective but they are real targeted people. I believe app traffic is more expensive than Fan pages.

(Didn't have to do any dirty chores like CPA fake outs)
