Looking for a cheap system.... easy to use best place to start looking any warriors with any tips please....

To do what?

You could start with a Wordpress blog, maybe Joomla or even Drupal.

But unless you explain what you want to achieve, it's almost impossible to recommend a suitable system.

  A system that isnt as well known is CMSimple - CMSimple.COM
  
  It's not good for big sites, but for smaller sites it's ok. Don't worry about the .dk domain it's in english.

  As John said, what do you want to start? I have tried Joomla and Wordpress. If you want a non memebrship site, an easy to manage and tweak system, go for WP.

  It depends on what sort of content you're going to be putting up. A user-oriented site can be easily run on Drupal an Joomla, but will take more work on Wordpress.

  Lots of free CMS where you can test-drive them, so there's no need to install and test dozens of them on your own server until you know what fits your needs best.

  I use WordPress for all of that. It makes an amazing CMS. I've converted 12 year old sites over to WordPress without changing a single URL or stripping a single feature. I run review sites on it, and ecommerce sites. It's amazingly flexible.

  Came across this online tool called CushyCMS that allows you to add online editing to any web page (HTML included) even sections of a page.
  
  Seems great for allowing clients to edit sections of pages, including uploading photos, and also for newbies with limited design knowledge if their designer incorporates this into web pages

  Do you need a platform for building new sites, or managing existing sites?
  
  If new, then I like WordPress or Joomla.
  
  If existing, then CushyCMS as Jens recommended is excellent. It's hosted, so nothing to install on your server. It's free. It's dead simple to get up and running and very easy for the end user (who may not be technical) to use. It's limited in it's feature set, but great at what it does.
  
  It all depends on your real requirements, which you haven't defined yet.
