Blogs, forums, article marketing work well. I have been using Twitter more often and get a lot of free traffic from that source.

I think niche forums can go a long way in taking your blog or website to people that show interest in the niche.

Social networking accounts can be a lot of help for you if you don't want to a costly investment. Try them out.

Find a low competition, medium-high volume keyword and use that as a foundation to build an online business. It's extremely effective. Also, social media doesn't hurt as well. Twitter and youtube are great ways to find targeted people fast.

Just write some articles on one of article directories,Build some backlinks for your articles and you will see them ranked. you will start getting targeted visitors this way. The idea here is that you don't use articles as backlinking source. it is a traffic source. So create your article based on a good keyword.

However, do consider sources that are cheap. Not spending any money can often be as deadly as spending too much.

Well targeted traffic is not so easy but you can write articles with anchor text link or you write a blog comment. Allways use your target keyword. Write articles for your site and for article directories.
