Marketing Ideas Contest!!

Hello warriors... I have a proposition for you all. Here it goes...

I'm holding a contest right here in this thread. The prize? A copy critique via email (normally $497) done by me for any site, in any niche. I'll do my best to give you the best tips to make your site more profitable - no strings attached.

How do you win?

Simple. Give me the best idea to market my copywriting services to generate cash FAST with minimal outlay. I'm already running a WSO, so that won't count as an answer. It has to be outside the forum!

The answer that I feel has the most potential to make me profit wins!

Take your time, the contest closes Friday afternoon Pacific Time.

Nothing is too off the wall (I'm a strange one, so I'm willing to try anything once... LOL!) May the best warrior win!

Heres what you could do.

You pick a topic that has alot of people in it offering a service.

Then you write a salesletter that is fill in the blanks to make
it specific for that business.

Then you sell the letter as a template to all those people.

So for example if you picked something like fishing trip guides.
The ones who take people out fishing either on boats or to
secret spots.

You would write a letter that could be used by all those people
who offer that service. They just fill in the blanks to make the
letter from them.

Then you would email or mail or call all the people you could
possibly find that are fishing trip guides. You tell them all and
sell them your template salesletter.

If you sold the letter for say $500 and sold it to 100 different
fishing trip guides you would have made $50,000.

Very nice - and I've already thought of a way to provide an add-on service to that and make it even more profitable. I like it.

Cheryl,

Silly question, but have you tried a new keyword search to pull up any new good keywords that might pertain to copy writing?

And, after you do that - do you have a blog? You can add titles, subs, and content to pull that new keyword or two..

Then, go off to social nets. Do you Digg, Squid, Myspace, Tweet, and all of the above?

How about articles? Have you written or outsourced any new lately?

I was just trying to share an idea that could help.

So you pick someone else besides me to win.

Anyways, just to add alittle more to what I posted.

Theres a bunch of people who offer services.

People like accountants or lawyers or real estate people.
Travel agents or ghost writers or even other copywriters.

They all could use some good salesletters.

Go to craiglist and post your services there...

Go to other marketing forums and make it your sig.

Write a nice free report on how your copywriting increased the sales of a website. Give the report free to your list and also promote it through various ezines and forums.

Create a copywriting products. You don't need to have 'how to write copy' product. You can get about 25 (any number) sites, review the sites and record with screen capture software. You must get permisssion from them first.

Then get JVs to promote your product. And sell your product at $10. Offer 100% commission. You can upsell your service.

Make sure your own sales copy can convert!

And I guess this is the fastest way to get instant credibility and make profits...

Offer your service for free for someone that you don't know on this forum. Start a thread with before and after updates of how your changes have increased visitors, hits and revenue. Update perhaps every day.

Go through the Clickbank marketplace and find good quality products in high performing niches, but products who have a poor salesletter.

Contact the owner of the site and say how you could improve his/her sales and profits simply by rewriting their salesletter. Some wil take you up on it, some will not.

Many won't trust you at first so make sure you have some good samples to back yourself up, and be personal in the email referring to their product and salesletter directly.

List the 10 most profitable niches you can think of
Get on as many lists as you can in each niche
Pull the physical addresses of each marketer from the bottom of one of their auto responder messages
Priority Mail or FedEx them an offer that they simply can't refuse

I've seen this work repeatedly well...

1. Local Starbucks drive-thru

2. Your business cards

3. ==> Wait for a few cars to pull behind you in line. Then order.

4. When you get to window, give the girl with the nose-rings
several of your business cards, and tell her...

"I am paying for everyone's drink behind me in line. Pls
let them know and give them my card."

After the nosering girl gets confused, she'll understand. ;-)

5. On the back of your cards, write a small, persuasive message,
using your copy skills. Something like...

"Enjoy! Will bring you instant new business. If not, my
copywriting skills do." etc.

6. Each person driving up will get their drink surprise free, and
your card.

Give it a try and let us know your results.
