You are right...This place can be addicted and a lot of members don't focus on what they should be doing.

I've been way to busy to visit the forum for
more than just a few minutes this morning.

I've been swapping insults with Kevin Riley
    on Skype.

P.S. I did submit my latest Hub Page feed

Swapping? I was merely giving you good advice to try and make you a presentable specimen fit for taking out in public. I realize that this is an impossible undertaking, of course.

I agree it's impossible for you to give me
        good advice. :p

At least I'm allowed out in public!

You got me. Thought you're retiring now after you made your millions online.

In my next 45 minutes I'm going to work on my product, trying to hire someone for an ebook cover and check some customer emails. Does that count too?

After that though I 'll take a nap for at least another 45 minutes. Ying and Yang.

what 3 productive things will you do in the next 45 minutes?
Well, being I just woke up about 30 minutes ago and am enjoying my morning cup of tea, the next 45 minutes will be spent helping my 10 year old daughter make an egg sandwich for her breakfast (I just heard her wake up), feeding my dogs and making sure my 13 year old has everything she needs when she leaves soon. She volunteers on a rescued horse farm 1-2 a week and today is her day. Right now she's doing the dishes before she leaves.

      Hey Mike,

I've just got back from a glorious holiday on the beach.....sunshine,
great food (too much), fishing, swimming and just chilling out
      with my family.....

      Pretty please?????

The first time I've been on the computer in 24 hours I see Mike's subject line about his last post.

I couldn't imagine him joining the ranks of the "I'm taking my toys home and don't want to play with you any more" crowd.

          Hey Mike,

Great list. I'd been having trouble with my new year's resolution to spend less play time at the WF when Colleen Slater came along with her blog challenge.

That got me very pumped, spent all day yesterday getting some blogs set up, and am now settling in with my cup of coffee for the next 45 minutes (and the next 45 after that, and the next 45 after that etc) to get some more work done on them.

Finally, I feel like I'm starting to move forward!

To manage my time better, I've been printing out biz-card size task cards (helps with house chores, too - not just business!). I'm going to add the stuff from your list to my task cards. Thanks!

          - Kat

You are so right, Big Mike. There have been days when I've written the equivalent of pages of text - in fact, one day I sat here looking at one especially long post and realized, cripes, I could have just written 2 articles. And I did it about 3 times that day. So... I could have written 6 articles at least.

The Forum is addictive - and I do believe you can get to the point that it seems the better alternative to actually working, especially when you've just strained yourself doing a ton of work. In that case, I'm not so sure it's a bad thing to hang out here - give yourself a chance to recuperate.

LOL...sorry, feeling good and looking to spread the cheer!

That said, what 3 productive things will you do in the next 45 minutes? Come on...stop hanging out in the WF for a little bit and go get some work done!

    Let's see, you could:

    1. Write 1 long article or two short ones and submit them or add them to one of your sites.

    2. You could go out on the web and post 10 blog comments for backlinks.

    3. You could draft out the copy for your next mini-site and make or order the graphics.

    4. You could start a new Adwords campaign.

    5. You could wrap up that keyword research you were thinking about.

    6. You could develop an outline for your next product.

    7. You can write down a list of your goals for 2009 if you haven't already.

    8. You could prepare your 2009 budget and business plan, if you haven't already.

    9. You could write up a killer email series for your list.

    10. You could send a couple of emails off to people you'd like to network with.

    And the list goes on...
