This is why I love StatCounter. It tells me the exact rank for my keywords (#8, #6, #7 below):

I can also see the exact visitor path. I can easily cross-reference this with the timestamp of the sale.

Since this is after the fact, I recommend checking out your analytics program (Google Analytics, etc) and trying to cross reference the visitor path with the time of sale. GA should do this...I'm just not sure where since I don't use them anymore. Worst case scenario...check your Log files on your host. It should contain the same info.

In the future, you can use software like Adtrackz Gold, Prosper202 or HyperTracker to capture this information. I use Prosper202 and Adtrackz Gold and can vouch for both.

Finally, you can simply use Clickbank's Integrated Sales Reporting:

Where are you finding that. I use Statcounter and was just looking around to find it and can't see it anywhere. How many pages does it show results for?

Tim, I found it under "Recent Keyword Activity" in StatCounter - Free Invisible Web Tracker, Hit Counter and Web Stats. I'm not sure if I've been given access to a special beta area of the site.

Try the AWstats - or something similar. They are installed on nearly every server. Just login to your cpanel or directadmin and find out. Maybe this will help

HP, I'm not familiar with any keyword tools that tell you all the keywords/positions you rank for without some manual assistance. Most software requires you to at least enter the keywords. Then they go out and check your position. Otherwise your computer (or the service's server you're using) would spend all day/night quering Google for millions of possible keywords. This would get proxies or IP's blocked quickly.

The best thing to do is get software like Free Keyword Rank Checker Tool for Google, Check Keyword Position on Yahoo, Bing and use your analytics or AWstats logs to feed it keywords to search on.

Hope that makes sense. And congrats on the sale!

I actually prefer seoserp.com (I think that's right...). It shows you the top 1,000 spots in G, which seems to be rare amongst similar tools. To be clear, that is isn't a direct link to the tool, but it's on the site.

SEM Rush will give you some data that might help. The free version is limited in what it displays, but it helps. You just put in your URL and it tells you what you are ranking for and where.

    Good luck.

From the sounds of things your site has not received much traffic as yet. So simply log into your Cpanel and look in your Awstats. It will show you the traffic for each day and the keywords that people searched to arrive on your site. Find out the date the sale was made and match it up with the keywords in your Awstats. Easy.

Wow! Thanks for the AWstats tip guys! That thing is awesome... Showed me my traffic is way down the last few days which would explain the lowered adsense income but it will definitely help me improve in the future. Thanks again.

If you read the OP's post you will see the sale has ALREADY been made and he is wanting to know which keyword produced that sale.

Prosper202 is not going to be of any help in this situation.

since the sale happened, the precise result you only can get through your site's log data , which always been found in your host panel.
