Hi there pals!

Just want to know if its okay to back-up a theme and use it to others? Does it affect the licensed? or something? please let me know :confused:

    Hmm, I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. I assume you are asking about wordpress themes.

    In general, if you downloaded a "free" theme that you found outside of the theme manager/installer that is native to wordpress, then you can usually use it on multiple wordpress installations. (unless the owner specifically prohibits it)

    But if you bought a premium theme, like thesis, then you would need to purchase a developer's/multi-site license to use it on more than one blog.

      yes this was a wordpress theme and it was premium. I have done that..

    You will need to be more specific with your question. Are you talking about a Wordpress theme? In general you have no rights to distribute other people's Wordpress themes - whether they are free or not.

    If you are talking about using that same theme on multiple sites that YOU own then you will need to check the license for that particular theme.

      Sorry about that, it was wordpress theme, Thesis theme Actually. I know you have heard about it.. I have sites that I administer using thesis theme and I just wonder if I could use them to all and it goes right so its okay now. thanks
