Newbi Question about videos embedded in content.

I hope Ill get an answer to this. I am trying to learn video marketing but isnt there an onpage SEO advantage aswell...ie getting links from different video directories where the video is published..how are these links valued by Google?

I havent yet embedded a video into a post so there you have my experience in a nutshell If I submit the spun video to different directories which one will I embed the original or what?

If I make a video out of an article and submits that video to You Tube, Metacafe etc. Do I need to spin description and is there a software for that out there somewhere that you know of and perhaps recommend?

Most if not all video sites are nofollow so there won't be any of that kind juice to speak of. However google, youtube, and others will produce results for well researched keywords and keyword phrases, but the amount of competition for a given keyword is well "key" Even though Google loves videos (partly because they own youtube) you can't expect your your video with only keywords to compete with websites full of content and lots of relevant backlinks. Therefore it is critical to choose keywords with lower competition. The google adwords keyword tool is good for this.

Thank You for your answer. I thought that even though the link from You Tube was no follow a page with embedded video linked from You Tube would still gain something from big G but I might be mistaken.
