Dear Warriors,

I think that the title summarize quite well my current issue.

I am currently using www.woorank.com/ and some analysis generated from Godaddy to optimize my website.

Any tips ? Advice ?

Thank you in advance !

Nassim

First typing in keywords that I want to rank for and see how they're doing on Google, moving up, down, or staying still. Google Analytics mainly though. Able to see where traffic is coming from, how long it's staying, whether it's coming back...

Google webmaster tools gives you a lot of good information about how Google sees your site and also about technical problems your site may have.

Besides that you can use any good SEO software to analyze content, backlinks, social media mentions.

I like to use domaintools.com to check out my sites and my competition.

Use their "who is" look up tool and then select the site profile tab. You will find a SEO score and other relevant information.

The score it gives may not be worth much, but it makes me feel better if I get a high score.

Nassim. The tool you point to doesn't tell you much about the optimization of your site. One advantage a lot of folks over look before they start their site is the optimization of the server they use. Optimizing the server helps with SEO as far as speed goes.

Plus you can do a few things to secure your site better.

Once you have the server optimized then move on to your site. I use WordPress and Genesis mostly so I know that it's already optimized as far as the code goes.

Then you need to do the on page SEO. Make it all relevant. That means:

    URL
    Title
    Description
    Tags
    image file names
    image alt tags
    video title
    video description
    video tags

These must be laser focused on your page relevance. You need to go over each page with a fine tooth comb and make sure they are all in place properly. I'm not sure if the tools will do that for you or tell you about that stuff.

Then of course you add your content written for visitors using internet language. (The language people search for) in a natural way of course.

If you use a tool similar to Market Samurai then you'll know your backlinks are the best you can do.

Bottom line I wouldn't rely on tools. I'd go over each page/post manually then you know each your site is optimized.

All that's left is driving traffic.

The site you reference is not telling you how well you are optimized. And when I plugged in my site it gave me very inaccurate results.

As SiteSmarty said, you need to optimize the pages along the lines he said. I use the Clickbump SEO plugin to guide me in that area. There are a few varieties of that plugin including a free one.

Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not one has better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on one’s ideas, to take a calculated risk – and to act.

Something a lot of people haven't brought up is internal link structure. I can't stress how incredibly important it is to keep all of your links optimized. The more interlinked your deep pages are, the better off you'll be.
