Which is the best keyword research tool. I have been using Seo Book Keyword Suggestion Tool for my keyword researches but for some reason I decided to use https://adwords.google.com/select/Ke...?defaultView=2 today and the result is : I notice either Seobook keyword research tool is over blowing the daily searches or google is undervaluing valuing theirs. I am not sure what the right answer is but I will like to know which keyword research tools you warriors have used. |

For keyword research, for me google research tool is the best one. It gives you the data on advertiser's competition and search volume both the average details and detaisl for that particular month.

This exact question has been brought up numerous times here. If you just search for the exact phrase "keyword research tool" or something like that, you should see a bunch of similar threads where great answers have been provided. Curtis |

Hi yommys01 I have tried a few and it really depends on waht you want to accomplish. If your going free I like the Google keyword tool. If you do not mind paying I like Adword Analyzer. I like it because it gives me monthly searches and the number of "exact" competing pages. Those 2 factors are what I use for research. Hope that helps you, Joe |

I have used both and for some reason when i get listed on the front page for my term SEO book is right from what ive seen. The visitors i get match up with the traffic they say is there. For some reason the keyword tool gives me the craziest numbers. You are gonna get a lot of different answers here and good cases made for both. What you definitely need to do is test it yourself and find what YOU like and what matches up for you. As you get to know your niche and traffic patterns you will know whats generally right on or not no matter what tool you use.

I use both. However, over the past month I've been using Google's tool almost exclusively. For me, it's great for article marketing, because it gives me some great ideas. I'm not sure that there's a "best" tool... Cheers Angela |

Angela's got the right idea. You should be using both (or more) just to gauge what the general number of daily searches would be. I don't see any harm in using more than one tool to get a wider perspective on each keyword that you're considering using.

In addition to the ones mentioned above, I usually consult the free version of the Wordtracker keyword tool (freekeywords.wordtracker.com). I've also found some interesting results from the Keyword Questions tool from Wordtracker Labs (also free: labs.wordtracker.com/keyword-questions), which I think is great for brainstorming article ideas and blog posts, not to mention just getting inside the heads of your potential customers in a niche market. I also like some of the free tools at MSN Adcenter, particularly their OCI (online commercial intention) tool and the Search Funnels tool (both at adlab.msn.com).

Yommy, You finally have a face! I have corresponded with you so much in pm's, and now I can see what you look like. I use seo book and the Google tool myself, but sometimes it's best to go with your own brain. Think of phrases you would use yourself, and see what the competition is. Your own thought process can be a powerful keyword tool. Just go with what your "gut" feels - some will hit, some will miss. Good luck |

Adequate keyword research can be done by several free methods - for paid software, Keyword Elite is very powerful - I have a free eBook about it as well as free ways to do keyword research at SEO Help Videos (Free eBooks link at bottom).

I use Adwords Analyzer and I have been very happy with it. When I compare it with the results from Google, they don't match exactly, but they are close enough. The program is simple to use, and it has been upgraded very frequently over the four years I have used it.

The best keyword tool is whatever you end up becoming comfortable using... By experimenting with enough of them and combinations of them you will eventually find what works best for you. |

Great as it is, the problem with Google's keyword tool is that you're basically using the same keywords as everyone else - which is to say competition will be extremely heavy. But like someone has already mentioned, it really depends on what you're trying to do. If you're just getting niche ideas and doing general research for article marketing etc, Google's free keyword tool is more than fine. On the other hand, if you're looking to do PPC advertising, you'd want to look into a paid research tool that will give you more long tail keywords. I use both Market Samurai and Keyword Research pro and I can testify that they're well worth the money. Keyword Elite, in my opnion, is not. |

I like the Google tool and use it for my keyword research but like all of these keyword tools they can't be exactly accurate because the numbers they put out are estimates to expected traffic based on past performance so you can't be completely accurate.

There is so much free web tools out there. Which one is the best depends on what your wanting. A paid service goes deeper into research. Market Samaria is cool because it is a one-time cost. Mark |

Thanks to every one who posted. I have used both of google adwords keyword research tool and seobook keyword research tool but what I find funny is that I am not getting as much traffic for my keywords even when about 6 of my keywords are on the first page of google.

What position on page 1 are we talking about here? Statistics have shown the number of clicks after position #1 SERP falls DRAMATICALLY. To conclude: Just because you're on page 1 for a certain search phrase that doesn't necessarily mean a flood of traffic will be frying your bandwith anytime soon. It really depends on the search volume conducted on those keywords you're trying to target. ![]() THAT'S where the "good tools" come into play for the keyword researcher (and knowing how to properly use them!).

| Hello, I'm Emmanuel. ![]() I'm very curious as to why you feel Keyword Elite is not worth it? Could you please elaborate on this a bit while explaining YOUR PERSONAL discoveries as far as the differences between KE and other paid tools are concerned? If you took just a couple minutes to express how you feel about this topic I would SINCERELY appreciate it, David! |

Hello, Don't know you but what is the main idea you are trying to get across to your potential visitors meaning what is your main theme of your site. I checked out your site and you had some pretty good content on it. Like was said in an earlier post you can have keywords that get you to the front page of google but it doesn't mean a thing without end in mind and thats to make a profit with those keywords. I believe you are taking a fly on the wall approach: Let's me shoot and see what sticks and this is not only wasting your time on keyword research but also losing dollars. Pm me and I can give you some srategies to use. I hope this helps. Please let me know. |

Are your META description tags properly written? Also, just because a keyword phrase "got an average of 50 searches per day LAST MONTH" does not mean the same for the following. There are "seasonal" niches/keyword phrases as well. Just something to keep in mind.

| I just dig the interface and it is pretty quick at gathering results. Never used keyword elite but I saw Brad's video demo. It just seemed the learning curve was a bit steep on keyword elite, while Market Samurai just seemed to teach itself to me.

hi there are so many out there to choose from. a lot of the time its trial and error to find one that suits your style best. i would recommend that you look for reviews onthe ones that your interested in and make sure that is one that you can get a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. hope that helps |
