Does Clickbank Advice Customers To Get Refunds?

Hi All,

I'm just so puzzled about clickbank. I've just listed my product under clickbank and starting to get affiliates. I've made some 4 sales from clickbank in the past 3 weeks and 3 customers asked for a refund all stating the some reason "not impressed with the product".

Why I'm I saying there's something wrong with clickbank?

Because I've been selling my product for 2 years now using Paypal with almost zero refund. The only refund request I used to get where people saying they thought the product was physical. And after I addressed that issue and let my customers know before they buy that this is a digital product my refund request are zero.

But now with clickbank its like everyone wants a refund. I just don't get it. Or is it that clickbank is infested with serial refunders?

If this refunding thing goes on I 'm changing using clickbank as my affiliate tracking system. I just can't be giving people my product for free knowing very well my product is good.

I'm sure there's something clickbank does to make customers ask for a refund because I'm not getting this madness refund issue with Paypal.

I don't think so ... because they would lose money from both the vendor and the buyer if they have to refund all the time

I think CB is fair . There is no problem if you are not happy ... There are lots of border line scams in clickbank especially the make money online or ebusiness niche

At least with CB you can buy with confidence , knowing that if the product doesn't work like they have claimed you can at least have your money back

refunds are a part of life ... No matter how good your product is , you would still get refunds .I wouldn't worry about refunds , I would focus on adding more value that people won't consider refunding because of what they have already got out of your product or service

The problem is not getting refunds, its that once a person buys my product through clickbank they will ask for a refund but when buying through Paypal I get no refund request.

I certainly don't believe my content is not worth it. I've been selling that product for over 2 years with not even one customer saying they want a refund because my product is not worth the money.

But 3 out of the 4 sales I made through clickbank have some reason for a refund.

        - 1st refund: Since I don't have images on my bonus they want a refund. (Mind you the bonus is a tiny fraction of the actual product)

        - 2nd refund: She says she was charged twice and because of that she wants both payments refunded plus shes is not pleased with the product.

        - 3rd refund: Says my product is a joke and wants a refund.

I mean over two years of sales with this product I've never received such silly refund request. If I get another silly refund request I'm moving to PayDotCom for affiliate tracking. Bye clickbank.

Cause you are in the niches where refunds tend to be higher than normal probably - like Internet Marketing/forex.

90% Of the people who buy through Clickbank KNOWs that they can get a refund - isn't it written in very big, bold letters on every clickbank sales page?

I've got a few products listed on ClickBank currently and in the past and had no issues with refunds.

They were not in Forex or IM/MMO though.

Can you somehow password protect your product? If they ask for refund - they can no longer use it.

Was also thinking of doing that but I want to tackle the core problem. I hate opening my email to find refund requests.

I tried one of these a couple of years ago (it was well publicized at the time), but it created more problems than it prevented. It turned out not to work with various firewalls, Windows configurations, etc. and prevented purchasers from even opening and reading what they bought. Naturally, they were angry and it involved a lot of admin work for me. It was a very negative experience.

yep, there is software you can get to lock pdf's and other products if an order is cancelled. check in the war room, someone had one listed for a while although now I think you do have to pay for it.

Kind of to what was already mentioned, my refund rate is very low with ClickBank. I have seen that after tweaking the ads and sales page enough, having that full disclosure of what the buyer is getting makes all the difference in the world. If they have an informed decision and you have provided a product review, good testimonials and satisfaction gaurantees, this seems to do the trick.

As for CickBank recommending refunds, I don't see that being the case. It definately hurts their reputation as well as the overall marketplace.

Did you state you had a refund policy when you were just working with PayPal?

Is your product in the MMO niche?
