Hypothetical challenge to the the experienced IM'ers on here

This is for the experienced Internet Marketers out there.

So I was laying in bed last night thinking about what direction I need to / want to go with IM and it got me thinking about this:

This is completely hypothetical, but let me pick your brain for a second. How much money could you make in 30 days as an experienced IM'er with the following:

1. You only have $50 to spend
2. All you have is your IM experience, but everything else is treated as if you were a newbie. That means no existing newsletter lists, no little black book of important people, you can't use any material you have previously used to become an experienced IM'er.

You are a newbie and all you have at your disposal is your brain and $50.

How well could you do, and how much money could you make in 30 days?

    A couple thousand minimum

Once you "get it" and it clicks in for you, it is extremely easy to make money on the internet. That is true even without lists or extensive technical knowledge.

I'm not an experience IMer, but I do have a little comment if I may

Your challenge is very similar to Shawn Casey's Desperate for Money ebook, except that the interviewees got $200 and only 2 days to make $1K. While I was personally not too interested in implementing most of the methods mentioned, it was a great read.

I really like this kind of challenge though. It really focuses your thoughts on how to make money online within the set parameters.

Hey Curtis...I hope you don't think I was trying to promote anything...you can read all my forum posts...I am a newbie if you have ever heard of one

I tend to over think EVERYTHING I do in life, since I try to reach perfection in what I do so when I am new to something, I ask A LOT of questions. I would rather spend me time finding the right ways to do things then to throw darts and wasting my time.

What made you think that? I was just commenting on something that your post reminded me of.

Oh, just when you said it reminded you of this one guys ebook...I jumped to conclusions...but I can see people taking advantage of these forums and literally using copy/pasted verbiage that actually is sales copy for someones ebook..that's all.

The amount you could make has nothing to do with only having $50 to start with.

I got asked today to do some search marketing consulting for $10k for 10 days work. So it cost me nothing and I could deliver it using just my knowledge - so in answer to your question anything is possible depending on what you're selling and who you're selling to.

The question is a little naive if I can be so bold because there is no answer - anything is possible.

Back when I started out in IM, I started with zero dollars, but then that was back in '96. I think I could still start making money even now though, without having to spend anything to get started. It's really all about taking that first step, and then keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I disagree on the $50 area...you have plenty of IM'ers out there offering great success if you buy their $97 program, or buy the $197 whatever, etc...

I was just saying, having a limit on what you can SPEND should determine how quickly you can turn a project into a profit. If you can't spend money, will you see results as quickly if you go a free route?
