Whois guard .co.uk domain

Hi it appears i cant have a whoisguard on .co.uk domain im going to be setting up amazon associate review site.

I read i need to go to nominet but from what i can understand they dont accept sites which have transactions any ideas?

    For .co.uk domains, if you register the domain as an individual, you can opt-out of the whois database and your address will be hidden.

    Your name will still be shown though.

    This post should probably be in the SEO section though (I think).

      Ok i take it that still counts if your using things like amazon associate on site conflicting information around.

    Nominet, the UK equivalent of ICANN, does not allow the use of Whoisguard on commercial .co.uk sites. You'll either have to accept that your information is public, or use a different TLD.

      There are two addresses associated with a .uk domain: billing and administrative. These addresses don't have to be the same: as far as I know, the administrative address is the one that shows up in WHOIS. I'm not aware of any prohibition on using a PO box for the administrative address.

      (I have only ever registered .uk domains through UK2: they allow you to set two addresses, only one of which is passed to Nominet. Once a domain has been registered, it is also possible to maintain the addresses associated with it though Nominet's own website.)
