I have around 300 people that bought my latest book on Clickbank. I emailed them all with an offer - the first 10 that send me a testimonial video 1-2 minutes in length will receive $100 off a future purchase. How have you received video testimonials in the past? Thanks... |

What you did there was basically provide an incentive to create a testimonial which kills the validity of your testimonials. If your product is good, then testimonials will come without you asking for them. I'm not sure what you mean by "getting" video testimonials, but I guess the easy way would be for the customer to upload a youtube video and then you can just embed them on your website. Curtis |

Lots of people will send unsolicited testimonials - how many send unsolicited video testimonials? I felt I needed to offer something.

Ask them first and if you don't have much luck then put in an offer.

usually people offer their system free for testimonials prior to launch, you can give it away in exchange for a video testimonial. |

But seriously, you can't slap an arbitrary figure on a question like that. If you have a great product which produces fantastic results, then MANY people will rave about you and your product and you should have more testimonials than you can stick on your salespage. If you product is a flop, then nobody will send unsolicited testimonials of any kind...well, except maybe the negative kind. Curtis | |

It makes perfect sense. People send testimonials all the time. How many sit down and record a video testimonial unless asked? |

That's true...I suppose people are much more likely to just send a nice email. The best advice I see in this thread is to ask. Not directly, but leave a line somewhere that says something like "I want your testimonials. Video would be awesome!" Good luck, Curtis |
