A interesting way to attack chronic refunders.

A buddy of mine showed me what he is doing, and gave me permission to give the basics.

He sells a product on the internet. He has been having the chronic refunder issue popping up for himself with his CB products. He has put together a system which generates a unique single pixel image per client. When they refund they receive a letter stating they are to delete the product as per his TOS. If the server detects a hit to that image after 72 hours a C&D letter is generated and sent. If they are a US,UK or AU client and the pixel is again hit after 48 hours from the previous hit, a notification is sent to attorneys he has on staff in the localities he can pursue them.

So far he has 9 small claims or civil suits in play. He has won a judgement in 5 of them which include a minimum of 2500$ in damages per case and in Australia and Europe includes criminal charges for theft and software piracy. He sent the results to his list and that day about 15% of his list unsubscribed. His refund rate is now in the 2-3% range.

There are ways to fight back.

Sounds interesting but this does not stack up for me. Your talking CB products, these are not high enough value to generate 2500$ in damages per case.

But if you’re right then this is potentially very interesting and could be a product in its self!

Interesting way to get rid of chronic refunders from your list. lol.

I use DLGuard, don't promote Clickbank products and if I get one refund from someone, they go in my DLGuard ban list and can never purchase from me again. I sell websites and have ZERO tolerance for theft.

When he told me about the unsubscribes I laughed so hard. It's certainly not a model for everyone, but it shows if you think a bit outside of the box, you can deal with the issue.

And I am right there with you sbucciarel, I have recently stopped promoting CB products until they get their act together and start policing their own. I've also never used CB as a Vendor which looks to be a blessing in the long haul.

I like that, hopefully those chronic refunders will learn that they will have to pay for the products they get...even if it means doing it the hard way (litigation).

You can't do that anymore, trust me.
